7:00 a. m. Nuestro guía turístico lo recibirá en el lobby del hotel y luego conduciremos 1,5 horas hacia el noroeste de Saigón, a través del campo del sur hasta los legendarios túneles de Cu Chi. La red, que se extiende desde Saigón hasta la frontera entre Vietnam y Camboya, incluye innumerables trampillas, zonas de vivienda entrelazadas, instalaciones de almacenamiento y fábricas de armas, mini hospitales militares, centros de mando e incluso cocinas. En este recorrido, explorarás la vida de un soldado del Viet Cong bajo tierra.

Puedes caminar por la zona y aprender sobre la vida de VC, enfrentarte a las entradas inteligentemente disfrazadas y a las elaboradas trampas explosivas. Luego, la minivan conducirá unas dos horas para llegar a la zona del Mekong.
- Disfrute del almuerzo en un restaurante local de camino al Mekong. - Después del almuerzo, deje atrás la gran ciudad mientras el paisaje se reemplaza gradualmente con arrozales y pueblos rurales en su viaje hacia My Tho. - Luego, el viaje comenzará tomando pequeños botes y navegando por el río para visitar una fábrica de cocos para aprender sobre la forma de hacer dulces de coco aquí y probar algunos productos locales. Luego tendrá la oportunidad de recorrer el pueblo en un carruaje tirado por caballos y disfrutar de algunas frutas tropicales.

Great private tour done with Lee and driver who took us safely everywhere. In the morning we went to the tunnels. In the car Lee told us all about the war history, not only from the books but also from his father. We arrived before the big crowds and the visit was very impressive. The second part of the day was slightly modified at our request; for example a Vietnamese and Buddhist temple (where monks also live) were added and horse and cart ride changed to tuk tuk. We skipped the honey where many tours stop. Lee had arranged a private boat that took us in the Mekong to several stops. All in all had a really great day. A private tour may be a bit more expensive but we really liked it. We booked Lee through tours with locals.

A great day out. Penny was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the tunnels and the history of the Vietnamese war. We learnt so much from her. It is a long day so be prepared for that. We also want to say how great the driver was.
Penny is an absolutely fantastic tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and completely made the trip for us. Her English is exceptional. Apart from seeing the the Cu Chi Tunnels, which was quite an eye opening experience, we had a lovely trip along the Mekong Delta, stopping for lunch and going to a couple of small islands which was really interesting. All in all a great day.
