My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience exploring Tokyo! We visited the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, and Meiji Shrine, and every stop was fascinating. Our guide, Akari, was absolutely fantastic. Her English was excellent, and her knowledge of Tokyo, Japanese culture, and the history of each site was incredibly impressive. She made the tour engaging, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. We couldn’t recommend Akari highly enough. If you’re looking for a great way to experience Tokyo, this tour is a must!

If you are going to be in Tokyo, book with Viator and request Yuki. He picked us up at our hotel and proceeded to give us the best tour possible! He was incredibly helpful, especially in managing the Tokyo subway. I would recommend him for anyone that is traveling to Tokyo for a tremendous personalized tour!!!!

Our adventure all around Tokyo was absolutely fantastic. It was easy to book and the communication from our guide, Lisa, was excellent. We were provided with a sample itinerary about a week before the tour and were able to customize it to add an additional location on our wish list. On the day of our tour, Lisa met us and confirmed our plan and we set off on a wonderful and educational day. Lisa took the time to know our interests and really connected with our 14-year-old, honing in on her fashion passion, without neglecting the adults. We were grateful for her knowledge of Japanese history. She took us all around the city in one day, covering a lot of territory as the locals do: On the Metro. (This is an excellent tour to do if you are hesitant about the trains since you get a real sense of how they run and how to use them with her guidance.) She also gave us ideas of what to do on our free days and sent us links during and after the tour on things to do, including places to go on the Shinkansen bullet train. Overall, this was a very memorable early introduction to Tokyo and Lisa made it excellent.

We booked the half day customizable tour. While our guide was polite, he was clearly inexperienced and barely shared any information about the various sites we visited - essentially just what the Google AI would tell you. He also was unable to answer some rather basic questions, and seemed generally unfamiliar with Tokyo as he explained that he lives in another city. So overall, we felt like we had someone just guiding us through the metro stations - definitely not worth the $100+ per person, so beware of the consistently high reviews from other travelers. In fact, looks like some others had a similar experience to ours.

We did a tour with Lisa, it was a lot of fun! It was our first time in Tokyo, Lisa created a custom itinerary for us - we hit major attractions plus incorporated some of our interests like anime and great local food. Lisa was very knowledgeable on places we visited and shared a lot of cultural and local insights. Plus, having a private car taking us places in summer heat was a very nice bonus. Highly recommend the tour!
