Perge vuelve a la historia como una ciudad griega de Panfilia, y con Panfilia volvió a estar bajo el dominio sucesivo de persas, atenienses y persas. En ese momento, según Tucídides, el río Eurímedón era navegable hasta Aspendos, [4] y la ciudad obtenía una gran riqueza del comercio de sal, aceite y lana. Aspendos no jugó un papel importante en la antigüedad como fuerza política. Su historia política durante el período de la colonización correspondió a las corrientes de la región de Panfilia. Dentro de esta tendencia, después del período colonial, permaneció durante un tiempo bajo la hegemonía licia. En 546 a. C. quedó bajo el dominio persa. Ömer was a very friendly, knowledgeable guide who went out of his way to give us a great experience. Our driver was excellent in navigating his way around the busy roads. All the places we visited were really interesting. Topped off with a delicious Turkish ice cream at the waterfall. Highly recommend!
