Encontrará un guía autorizado en la puerta principal de Pompeya, después de comprar los boletos, comienza el recorrido y será guiado por el guía a través de las ruinas de esta increíble ciudad antigua.

Se trata de una de las casas más grandes de Pompeya y abarca una manzana completa de aproximadamente 3000 metros cuadrados remontándose, según su diseño original, al siglo II a.de C.
La casa, una de las más ricas y famosas de Pompeya, está bajo la protección de Priapus, el dios de la prosperidad, pintado a la derecha de la puerta y que simboliza el éxito económico de los propietarios, los hermanos Aulo Vettius Restitutus y Aulo Vettius Conviva Liberti, quienes acumularon su riqueza mediante el comercio.
La piscina se encuentra a la izquierda, al tiempo que la columnata a la derecha conduce a los dormitorios de los hombres, que se dividen en el apodyterium (vestidor), el frigidarium (baños de agua fría), que conducen al tepidarium (baños templados) y luego al calidarium (baños calientes).
El Gran Teatro fue construido aprovechando la pendiente natural de la colina para la construcción del auditorio. La escalera se divide en tres zonas con pasillos, que fueron a su vez divididos en cinco sectores, y se basa en un pasaje con bóveda de cañón.

El sendero natural n. 5 "Il Gran Cono" comienza en la Piazzale (plaza) a una altitud de 1.000 metros por encima del nivel del mar, en el municipio de Herculano, al final de la ruta provincial Ercolano-Vesuvio. En este momento, la Piazzale presenta una zona de aparcamiento para aquellos que vienen en coche.Antes de comenzar el ascenso, podrá visitar uno de los puntos de información del Parque Nacional del Vesubio, donde podrá recibir información útil sobre la zona protegida y comprar un mapa.Desde la Piazzale ya puede disfrutar de una vista espléndida del lado norte del Monte Somma con los cognoli de Sant'Anastasia y Punta Nasone, la cima del antiguo volcán que tiene 1 132 metros de altura, frente a los cognoli de Ottaviano y Levante. Mientras mira hacia arriba, puede contener la respiración y ver desde abajo lo que será el ascenso al borde inferior del Sterminator Vesevo.

We had an amazing day visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mount Vesuvius with Antonino. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, everything was easy and stress-free. Antonino knows these sites incredibly well, but what really stood out was how great he was with our 8-year-old daughter. He kept her engaged the whole day, which honestly surprised us considering how much history we covered! He made everything fun and interesting for her while still giving us plenty of information. He also paid attention to all the little things. There was always cold water waiting for us when we got back to the van, which was much appreciated in the heat. He kept candies in the van for our daughter throughout the day, and at the end of the tour he gave her the whole bag. Such a small gesture, but it absolutely made her day, and she's still talking about it. This ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Italy. If you're thinking about doing Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Vesuvius, I'd highly recommend booking with Antonino. We'd gladly tour with him again.
Antonino was a wonderful guide for our day. He made sure to customize the day to our liking, and the information he presented was helpful, interesting, and accurate. As we started the tour, we disclosed our prior knowledge of the Latin language and classical world, and he easily adjusted what he spoke about and what he showed us/emphasized at each of the sites to match our knowledge. He made the sites interesting for our teenage sons and actively and warmly engaged them in what we were seeing. He provided as many water bottles as we wanted in the unrelenting July heat and he recommended a restaurant where we could eat a quick, casual lunch before continuing the tour. Repetition helps! I chose to repeat the same experience I had 3 years ago precisely to share the emotions and sensations with my sister and my nieces and nephews as well. Antonino is a constant confirmation; after so much time, I met him again with pleasure and found the same polite, kind, cultured, and passionate person from 3 years ago. We had a truly remarkable day with Antonino. Communication was fabulous from my first enquiry and the price was very reasonable for what we did. We were picked up promptly from our accommodation in Sorrento in a very comfortable mini-van. Antonio’s driving was very smooth and safe and he regularly checked in on how we were. He provided a lot of great information about the sites, pre-booked our entry tickets and expertly guided us around the Herculaneum and Pompeii. He offered flexibility regarding Mt Vesuvius and was accommodating to our needs on the day. Overall we couldn’t have been happier and highly recommend this company and tour.

What a great day of learning - in style! Antonio is extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable! He took care of every detail from hotel pickup, site tickets and addressed multiple learning styles using pictures, stories and data! We were able to get Vesuvius tickets and his colleague (equally as professional) drove us there and we hiked up on our own. For sure it was a long day as we covered a lot of ground so make sure you are rested before you go as the temp was high. Antonio also took us to a most quaint family restaurant where we enjoyed drinks and amazing salads - just perfect for our needs!

Tony was amazing! He picked us up directly from our hotel and dropped us off there again. He was so knowledgeable on the ride to the separate locations and was an excellent tour guide once there. He answered all and any questions we had ranging from Pompeii to generalized Italy questions. He also helped us get tickets for my Vesuvius when I was unable to on the website. If you pick this tour it will be so informative, fun, and overall a great way to spend the day touring 2000 years ago! Definitely will be back and using him again for other tours!
