Sin embargo, son los viñedos los que realmente se roban la atención en Amyntaio. Conocida mundialmente por sus bodegas Xinomavro, el terroir de la región y sus hábiles viticultores producen vinos que cautivan los sentidos. Domaine Karanika es una bodega de tres niveles en una ladera a orillas del lago Vegoritida, entre los pueblos de Amyntaio, Vegora y Lakkia.
El lago Petron tiene una belleza seductora, especialmente durante los meses de invierno. Es uno de los 4 lagos que conectan Amyndeon y que pertenecen a la red europea de áreas protegidas NATURA 2000 y es un refugio para 130 especies de aves, entre ellas bastante raras.
Una bodega bellamente diseñada en el corazón de la zona vitivinícola de Amyndeon.
El lago Vegoritida en la región de Macedonia es el tercer lago más profundo de Grecia, con una profundidad que en un punto alcanza los 50 metros. También forma parte de la red NATURA 2000.

This was an extraordinary tour. Many people go to Santorini and only take in the beauty of Oia and Fira. We wanted venture past the city walls, and learn about history and culture and Justelene did just that. We visited a winery whose wine options were vast and delicious. This winery also had an array of beautiful artwork. we never felt like we were being pushed to buy, rather, invited to enjoy. Next was the Donkey brewery where we had several tastings and had a fun time with the 2 brew masters serving us and telling us stories about the friends who created Donkey. Then we went to an amazing farm where we learned and sampled pistachio's, tomatoes, cucumbers and many other vegetables grown to create culinary delights. Next, Justelene brought us to a tiny village to walk around at our leisure. The day was more than fantastic, not too rushed and yet we covered everything that we asked for. Thank you Justelene for a great day.
