Tour Privado en el Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja

Every thing you didn’t know you needed!!! The absolute best day with core memories made. Juan Carlos was the best guide. If you’re able, request him!!! His bubbly, sweet, kind personality made this tour! We laughed, we learned, we made memories that will forever stay with all of us. He went above & beyond to make our day special. Carlos did an awesome job! He made the entire tour fun and made sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying themselves. He shared information about the area and answered questions. He made a stop for us to pickup some items on our way back to resort which we appreciated. Highly recommend the tour.

We took a private tour on August 5, 2025 through Rincón de la Vieja National Park, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Carlos was our knowledgeable and friendly guide, and Rolando drove us comfortably in his van — both made the day smooth, fun, and stress-free. We accomplished a lot in one day — starting with a 2-hour hike in the national park. The trail was beautiful and diverse, with views of the volcano, geothermal features like bubbling mud pots and steam vents, and plenty of lush jungle and wildlife to admire. Afterward, we cooled off in the Oropendola Waterfall, which was refreshingly cold and a great reward after the hike. Following a satisfying lunch, we wrapped up the day with a soak in the Rio Negro Hot Springs — a relaxing and unique experience that was the perfect ending. We were so glad we chose a private tour — Carlos and Rolando made the experience personal and flexible, avoiding the crowds and allowing us to enjoy each stop at our own pace. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the best of Rincón de la Vieja in one well-managed day!

My family of 3 enjoyed the private tour to the Rincón de La Viego National Park with Rolo Transfer and Tours. Rolo was on time picking us up from our resort. He was very friendly and patient with us. He gave great directions on how to enjoy the most out of our tour. He waited for us at each destination, from lunch, Oropendola waterfall, and the hot springs. He also stopped at the supermarket for us on the ride back to our resort and we were back at the time we wanted to be back. Most importantly, his services was affordable and we felt very safe with him as our driver and will be utilizing his services again as well as recommending to others.

We toured the rain forest with Juan Carlos (JC) and Manuel was our driver. They were both excellent and we had a fantastic time! JC was so informative and attentive! He also did a great job engaging with the three teens we had with us and getting them involved with the tour. We had an awesome day and were very well taken care of by Manuel and JC! ¡Gracias!

Rolando is a very professional safe driver, a native Costa Rican who is incredibly knowledgeable about everything there is to know and do in Costa Rica. He picked us up promptly at 7 in his modern, comfortable passenger van. Toured us thru the challenging (for us it would be!) back roads, by passing the flooded highway and headed us into Rincon de la Vieja national park. We picked up our naturalist guide Francisco and started our day with a beautiful hike thru the rainforest. Francisco explained all the vegetation and spotted lots of beautiful butterflies, birds, monkey families, iguanas and more. He explained and showed us many crazy volcanic activity hot spots along the way. We then hiked down hanging bridges to the fantastic oropendola waterfall, where we swam and enjoyed the picturesque waterfall valley. We enjoyed a relaxing HUGE buffet lunch at the hotel. Rolando then drove us to the incredible volcanic hot springs spa. The hanging bridges and walkways were safe and are well maintained. We enjoyed the variety of hot tubs, the mud baths and going in and out of the river! Great change facilities, and shower rinses all within easy reach. What a full day of fun, activity and spa-ing. We were tired and so glad to be escorted home safely thru busy traffic and a rain storm by Rolando. Because he suggested an early start we were always ahead of any of the larger groups of tourists..good idea! We would recommend anyone is in need of a great driver or tour operator, call Rolando.
