We had the absolute best day with Steven! We did a full day private ship excursion seeing the Northern coast and Giant’s Causeway and he went above and beyond with being informative and helpful and he seriously treated us like royalty. We could not believe how much he was able to fit in for our time on shore and he was also incredibly intuitive and added things onto the agenda that would specifically interest us, like seeing a golf course and a waterfall. So thoughtful and such a hard worker! My husband and I and our two teenagers had such a spectacular day learning about and seeing this gorgeous part of the country!
3 of us were picked from our hotel in a great sized people carrier and from the off we were regaled with tales and history of Belfast before we headed off up the coast for a fantastic tour through Carrickfergus and along the Antrim Coast Road from Larne through to Cushendall with lots of stops along the way to see the sights (and Scotland!) with an excellent stop off at the Harbourview Hotel and it’s amazing Whiskey! Then over to Ballycastle and a fish and chip stop before heading to the amazing Giants Causeway. The rain didn’t dampen our enthusiasm and a stop at the Dark Hedges on the route home topped off an excellent day trip! Steven was an excellent tour guide / host / driver/ purveyor of knowledge and was happy to stop where we wanted to see and gave us loads of good info and knowledge about all things Northern Ireland (and beyond!) 11/10!!
Informative, included many highlights of Antrim, stops for coffee, lunch, and Bushmills. Giants Causeway is well worth the trip, as is the hanging rope bridge.
Best decision ever! We hired Hometown Tours to take our party of 4 on a private tour of the Antrim Coast, Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, and a few key locations from Game of Thrones GOT. Absolutely Stunning! Steven was amazing and very knowledgeable. He even adjusted the route to view a beautiful waterfall and the US Army Rangers museum. We had a coffee break in the morning at a lovely bakery in Ballycastle and our lunch stop in Bushmill was delicious. This trip exceeded our expectations.
Tamma - it was lovely to offer you a private driving tour of the Giant's Causeway Coastal route and add in the special points of interest such as the Presidential Cottage - Glad you enjoyed it. Steven
Most highly recommend! Having Steven as a tour guide felt like having a buddy showing us his favorite places. I am now spoiled for any sort of group tour. On this private tour in a comfortable mini van we’d stop wherever we wanted. Steven would give us options, and best of all joined us at the attractions to tell stories and answer questions and take our pictures rather than sitting in the car. If you’re brave do the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, and the Giant’s Causeway must be seen to be believed. Absolutely fabulous day in Ireland!
Debbie and Mark - it was lovely to offer you a private driving tour of the Giant's Causeway Coastal route and add in the special points of interest such as the Presidential Cottage and US Rangers Museum. - Glad you enjoyed it and enjoy the memories through the photos. . Steven
Stunning scenery and interesting stories. Steven was an exceptional guide, can highly recommend
We booked with Steven for a causeway tour in February as part of our Ireland trip, Steven was accommodating to our needs, knowledgeable, and went over and above to make our tour an incredible experience. He was punctual, attentive, and made sure that we got back to our hotel in Belfast in plenty of time to catch our dinner reservations (and gave us some great pub recommendations nearby)! We actually ended up booking with him for another day to do his Best of Belfast tour which I'd also highly recommend! Overall a fantastic experience and you won't be disappointed!
Steven was great, very knowledgeable, good company & tailored the tour to our group. Would definitely book another tour with him next time we’re in Belfast & highly recommend anyone to book with him, you’ll not be disappointed.
Thanks lynn Was a great day on the Causeway Coast Driving tour. Hope you and your friends had a great weekend in Belfast despite the Steelers Results. Hopefully see you again.
Over the decades, we've met many tours, guides, and leaders around the world, but in Steve Patterson, we truly found a guide (and a warm person) who sublimely showed us the many wonderful things to do in Belfast and the North Coast. Clear explanations, humor, always on time, and inspiring: we can truly call him a true specialist. To our friend Steven: thank you so much for that unforgettable day, and we'll make a wonderful report of it in Belgium. With love, Mario De Wilde, travel journalist from Bruges, Belgium, and also his husband Sofie, Jenny, and Johan
Hello Mario. That is so kind of you and delighted you enjoyed the day on the Giant’s Causeway Coast. It was a pleasure to give you and your friends a driving tour of Belfast and Northern Ireland. look forward to reading your article. take care. steven
We had an excellent day with our driver Steven Patterson. He was very informative, polite, and an outstanding driver. He really made our day with a lasting experience that we can remember forever. From day one he has been reaching out to us to ensure we had the itinerary that suited us best. Even with the yellow weather alert he was checking the weather to ensure we were safe and able to see what was important to us. Steven adapted our schedule based on the changing weather and were able to catch all the key sites we had hoped to see. Thank you , John and Kellie
