In summer very hot on the bus at the top. The first day they wouldn't close the hood. The second bus was ok which had air conditioning downstairs. The last bus was a disaster The air conditioning was broken there. We had booked 48 h with an ice cream but Didn't get ice cream.
Max was very knowledgeable, engaging and personable. We very much enjoyed our walk through downtown Rome and all the special tidbits of information he shared with us.
Rome was amazing. So much history. Lots of walking. Make sure you have good shoes. Expensive but food is awesome. Have Gelato every night.
Luca, our guide, was fabulous. He contacted us the evening before our meet up to ask if we had any special wants. He exceeded our expectations with all the places he took us and all the information he imparted to us. He took us to all the usual places and then to more off the beaten path places. We saw so much in the three hours he was with us than others see in a few days. He even helped us decide on a restaurant and made our reservation - and we got right in. Luca was fun and courteous and even followed up the next morning to see if we needed any more information as to what to do and where to go. His expertise and knowledge of Rome was wonderful. I recommend him highly to anyone going to Rome.
Simone did a great job showing us around and sharing tips and tricks as the locals live. This was our second time to Rome, and everything he showed us was new to us. It was just what we wanted! Highly recommend!!
Our first day in Rome, my husband and I were a little put off by how crowded the city was, even though we are from NYC. I had messaged Simone that night that we had already seen some attractions that we did not want to revisit so he graciously customized the tour to show us other important sites and some hidden gems as well. We spent our second day in Rome with Simone, and he gave us a fresh and unique perspective of his beautiful city. He was very knowledgeable and opened our eyes to the rich historical beauty of Rome. We really enjoyed the day.
The city is beautiful. It's congested traffic. We recommend a hotel in the center and then move on foot. Every corner of the city holds surprises
Our tour with Paola was like a relaxed stroll with an old friend. As we wandered & chatted through Monti (the Suburra in Ancient Rome), Paola pointed out interesting sites, streetscapes off the tourist tracks, as well as highlighting Rome’s ancient, medieval, renaissance & modern history. As it’s a jubilee year, we visited Santa Maria Maggiore’s holy door & then to Regoli’s pasticceria to sample the seasonal (& delicious ) beignet di San Giuseppe. The morning flew by, we loved every moment, and we cannot recommend Paola highly enough.
Matteo was a great guide! He took us around the streets of Rome for some photographic angles, assisted with ideas and perspective. Also, the idea of capturing "Rome" was an interesting concept for me.... trying to capture the essence in its people, its buildings. It was a good way of focusing on how to feature Rome through my photos and not just another city. His knowledge of Roman history was an added bonus. Matteo also took us to his favourite coffee shop, pizza stop and gelato. All just great! Matteo took his time and we did not feel rushed during our ramble through Rome's streets. I would highly recommend Matteo's friendly, informative and professional service. Grazie mille!
We had a delightful time with Daniele - he is charming, interesting and knowledgeable. This was part of my “Ciao, Bella!” trip, that I was hosting and as requested he showed us both highlights and hidden gems. A lovely man and a lovely tour -thank you
