Hassan juma was brilliant tour guide very polite educated young man speaks well and is funny too using English slang made us laugh Definatley recommend this chap and he’s a credit to this company who are lucky to have him. We loved stone town the people there and prison island. The western world could learn a lot from the people of Zanzibar and tanzania. Very humble people and we carnt wait to be able if we’re lucky enough to return there. Five star rating for this trip 😊😊🤩🤩
Excellent walking tour with a very well informed and helpful guide - strongly recommended and great value.
Stone Town is full of character, with winding alleys, spice scents, and rich culture everywhere you look. Prison Island offers a peaceful escape with giant tortoises and clear waters, providing a perfect mix of history and nature!
Memorable tour, a must go, worth it Very comfortable vehicle to show you around, understanding drivers
Good trip, however the only thing worth seeing on prison island is the turtles there is nothing else there. Stone town was nice to look around, the guides and driver were all lovely.
First ,Viator lists a private air-conditioned car was to take us around. No car ever was provided and No water either as in the description of the tour. The tour guide was very good but the Tour operator Ahmedi XTRA ADVENTURES stink, they lied to us by first saying we would get a car ,then saying we need to pay $40 more .It was not enjoyable.
First the guide forgot that he wrote me we should do the tour at 7.30 instead of 9, so we had to call and wait for 45 minutes, but Ahmed did a very great job and the tour to prison island with him was very nice!!! The tour with zayed in Stone town was also very nice, but he didn't bring us back to the hotel, instead he let us stand at the old fort, that's why it's only 4 stars instead of 5 The
Unfortunately my boyfriend was ill on the day of the tour so I went alone with our guide Ali. He was a really good tour guide and I had a lovely time. I was a bit nervous being a young woman alone in a foreign city but Ali made me feel safe. He was also very kind to take a lot of pictures of me throughout the day. The trip to Prison Island good and it was fun feeding the big tortoises even though it was a bit touristy. I really liked the walking tour around Stone Town. Ali taught me a lot of things about the city and I got to see so many things that I wouldn't have seen on my own.
City tour guide and guide to prison island were good. But, whole tour was unorganized. Waited an hour at conclusion of city tour for prison tour to begin. By now it’s the afternoon, very hot, but couldn’t eat lunch because didn’t know when prison tour was starting.
The tour was half in English (Prison Island) and half in Spanish (Stonetown). The two guides did great work and we found the explanations very interesting, everything we saw we liked and it was an unforgettable experience.
