Subiendo por el cráter oeste, deténgase aquí para abrazar esta hermosa vista sobre las costas norte y sur de la isla
En el punto más alto de la carretera se puede hacer una corta caminata hasta el Lago Canário, y observar los alrededores de esta área paisajística protegida.
En el mirador principal sobre el famoso lago dentro de este cráter se puede ver el tamaño de este cráter, el pequeño pueblo que existe dentro de él, así como los hermosos lagos, que en conjunto, crea una atmósfera especial desde este punto de vista.
Bajando por el camino que conduce dentro del cráter, desde este punto de vista tendrás una perspectiva diferente de los lagos y el pueblo.
Sin embargo, otro lago, el lago Santiago, es visible desde este mirador, un pequeño cráter contenido dentro del principal.
Al terminar el descenso al fondo del cráter, nos detendremos en el puente que divide ambos lagos, para otra perspectiva de este cráter gigante y algunas fotos.
En el centro de este pequeño pueblo se puede visitar una iglesia bastante única donde un pequeño sendero con pinos y cedros Norfolk conducen a la iglesia de San Nicolás.
Explora un poco el centro del pueblo y tómate un descanso para usar los baños o tomar una bebida o un aperitivo en un bar local.
La parada final del tour te lleva al punto más occidental de São Miguel. Un mirador sobre el océano, utilizado como punto de observación de ballenas en el pasado, y con una vista sobre Ferraria por un lado y el pueblo de Mosteiros por el otro.
Volviendo a su alojamiento, tomamos la carretera sobre la costa sur de la isla, mientras tanto, solo puede sentarse y relajarse y disfrutar de las vistas.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the half day tour with Flávio. What a wonderful day! I was only in Ponta Delgada for 24 hours and I made the most of it. Flávio is a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly, safe and fun! It was just me so I was a little nervous at first but Flávio was the epitome of professional. I learned so much and had the most beautiful day. I don’t like big tour groups so this was perfect! He even dropped me off at a wonderful seafood restaurant. Delicious! You won’t regret booking this tour. It’s incredible!

The tour is great! Four hours after we landed in São Miguel, we had already been to a pineapple plantation, gorgeous ocean views and crater lakes...and we still had two hours to go!! Flavio was an excellent tour guide who navigated the roads well and gave us plenty of time to see everything we wanted to see. He knew all the information he needed to know for the tour, and we asked a lot more questions about the island, economy, people, tourism, etc. He had a great sense of humor and made the tour fun. There were three of us on our tour and we absolutely would do it again!

Excellent tour covering various viewpoints along the way and the pineapple plantation. Very knowledgable guide. Great to see Cidades on the morning of our flight as it had been covered in cloud for much of our visit.

Flavio is a wonderful guide for the Azores! We were given an itinerary to work from, however Flavio is incredibly flexible, and will build the itinerary around your wishes. He is both a wonderful driver, skilled on narrow roads and tight parking! Flavio’s car was comfortable and spacious, with bottles of water supplied. HIs passion for the Azores, and his knowledge is outstanding. The pineapple tour was fascinating and educational. We LOVED our tour with Flavio, and would give him 10/10 + This was the highlight of our 5 day stop in the Azores.
Flavio was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. Car was roomy and clean, trip was not rushed and felt he was very flexible with itinerary. The pineapple farm was much more interesting than I expected, well worth it.

Flávio is an excellent tour guide -- knowledgeable, patient, flexible, prompt, and humourous. We had an 8-hour layover in Ponta Delgada on our way to Graciosa (by way of Terceira), so we booked this 1/2 day (4 hour) tour of a pineapple plantation and Sete Cidades. Within a few hours of making the reservation online, Flávio messaged me via Whatsapp and confirmed the reservation. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and he picked us up at the airport in a very nice car thoughtfully stocked with waters. He told us a lot about the history and culture of Sao Miguel and the Azores in an engaging and entertaining way, answering our questions.
