Our experience was likely a little different than normal because of the weather we encountered. We got started on time and began our tour but about one hour into the tour it started raining very heavily. Luckily we were under cover and were able to wait out the delay in a nearby coffee shop where we got to know him a little better and hear some insights about Tokyo/Japan. My partner is from Thailand and he spoke enough Thai to communicate with her as well as myself in English. As the rain lightened up we continued the tour and he kept adjusting the tour as the rain periodically started and stopped. He gave us many options on how to continue the tour, even at one point offering to refund the entire amount of the tour due to the weather. We continued on and when we requested that we end the tour at our hotel instead of the normal end point, he happily agreed and plotted a new course. We always felt safe and looked after as we navigated the streets of Tokyo and learned more about a large city than you can from a book or video. I highly recommend this tour for those that enjoy city bike tours.
Thank you so much for your great comments! It is appreciated. Yes, it was rainning on the day of your tour, but I enjoyed cucling with you. I hope you and your partner also were happy with the tour. Have a nice holiday in Japan! Takeshi
Great day biking in Tokyo. Our guide Take made sure we were safe the whole time and we hit all the highlights and even some lesser known places. Getting around on the bikes was so easy and we got to see some of the back streets too. Highly recommend!
Thank you for your great comments. It is so appreciated. We are happy to hear you really enjoyed backstreets in Tokyo. We hope you had a great time in Japan, and see you again some time. Takeshi
Takeshi is a great guide - informative, interesting and has a kind and quirky sense of humour which I thoroughly enjoyed. The bike tour required a moderate level of fitness and cycling confidence although I am sure that Takeshi would have reduced its intensity if required. Weaving around backstreets was fun and seeing large areas of Tokyo in 5 hours was for me quite exhilarating. Tokyo traffic is calm and considerate so even though the cycle paths are not that obvious I did not feel threatened. Highly recommended for the curious traveller.
Thank you for your great comments. It is so appreciated. I really enjoyed cycling with you. If you are happy to cycle in the central Tokyo, I am happy, too. I hope you had a good time in Japan. See you some time! Takeshi
First I discovered parts of Tokyo that would have not been possible without the Bike, second the owner is a charming person , very service minded and with a deep knowledge about Tokyo I took the 5 hour, I think 3 hours is the best.
Thank you for your great commnets. It is greatly appreciated. I hope you had a nice time and wonderful experiences during the tour. Have a good time both in Tokyo and other places! Takeshi
We loved this bike tour. Our group was myself, my boyfriend, and his son and daughter who are 16 & 27. We were a little concerned about height and the folding bikes because while I am 5'2 everyone else is 5'7,5'11 and 6'2 but it wasn't an issue. We were in Japan for 10 days did a number of tours and excursions- a tea tasting, food tour and mount fuji and of them all this was my favorite. It was so exhilarating biking the streets of Tokyo and Taki gave us the Cultutral background. We did this on the last day of our trip and everywhere we went was a place we had not already seen. I hope to return to Japan again in the next few years and this is one that I will do again.
It is so wonderful comments! Thank you so much! I am happy that you did not find problems about our bikes. Thank you any way, and see you again some time. Takeshi
This is a great way to see Tokyo! Takeshi is a great tour guide who is very much aware of what the group wants. We had a whole day private tour with family with teenagers and they all loved it. Whole day tour. Takeshi asked our lunch idea and cake with good suggestions. We are Dutch and bike a lot, but have never seen someone change a tire so quickly when we had a puncture. Great experience and would recommend highly
Thank you for your kind comments. It is greatly appreciated. This tour must be one of the most beautiful memories of my tours for me. I hope you have wonderful experiences in Japan. Takeshi
