Una vez que lo recojan en su hotel, prepárese para medio día de exploración. Navegue por el suelo boscoso de un cráter volcánico masivo mientras explora Sete Cidades con un guía local experimentado. En un vehículo 4×4 escarpado, pasee entre lagos brillantes y rebote por caminos de tierra que conducen a amplios miradores de este impresionante y dramático paisaje.

Explora en un vehículo 4x4 la naturaleza que rodea el cráter de Sete Cidades. según la leyenda, siete pueblos, fundados por obispos españoles expulsados, se hundieron. Con un perímetro de 12 km y un diámetro de 7 km, esta caldera se formó a partir de un cráter que colapsó durante una gigantesca erupción prehistórica, su forma actual fue creada durante una tremenda erupción en 1445.

Lugares y horarios de recogida
La recogida es gratuita y está incluida si se encuentra en la ciudad de Ponta Delgada o en ciudades cercanas (Lagoa y Ribaira Grande); se pueden aplicar tarifas adicionales en otras ubicaciones. Lo recogeremos en la terminal de cruceros. Estaremos a las 9 a.m. (se puede configurar otro horario de recogida) listos para la recogida en el muelle dentro de la Terminal en la planta baja frente a la puerta de llegadas con el nombre del viajero principal en un cartel. Además, si por alguna razón el barco atraca en el muelle comercial, estará en el muelle frente al barco con el nombre del viajero principal en un cartel. (Por favor no tome ningún servicio de transporte).

- Además, nos gustaría advertirle que la última fila en el vehículo 4x4 es un poco difícil de entrar también y las rodillas estarán un poco altas durante el viaje , No será un problema para los adolescentes ,ágiles o personas más pequeñas, pero son los asientos menos cómodos, y el vehículo estará en su máximo.

Such a beautiful place. Our guide was so knowledgeable in explaining both the volcanic and cultural history of the region. He made it both informative and interesting. Even with the fog at the top spot we saw so many other beautiful views that it didn’t matter. Definitely worth it if you only have a few hours and want to see a lot.

When we took our tour with T4W, we had the honor of being guided by one of the owners, Delfim. On our half-day tour, he took us down a number of roads that rental car companies would cry about, but gave us a different view of a number of places on the island that I doubt we would've ever gone to. Our tour focused on Sete Cidades, which we were able to see from basically all sides and from down at the lakeside as well. He was very knowledgeable about the island and the sites we visited and we wish that we had the time to book him for a full day tour just to see everything else he wanted to show us. 100% recommend!

Fantastic tour. If you get Margarete as driver / guide / commentator your are in for an incredible trip. She is local and shares the physical and social history of the area with grace and knowledge. Very informative and fun. The equipment are 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers that are comfortable and safe. We were extremely lucky with weather going from cloudy to sunshine to sunsets. Fantastic. A definite recommend
Vasco was a great guide. He made the tour fun and informative. Waited patiently for us when taking photos and when we went to see the hot springs. Vasco answered all of our questions.
The landscape was exquisite, and the off-roading was fun! Would love to return to see more of the island.
