Esta experiencia ha sido cuidadosamente diseñada para los verdaderos amantes de las caminatas por la montaña. Esta experiencia brinda, además de los beneficios del senderismo de montaña, un contacto muy directo con los pastos ancestrales de los pueblos a través de la visita a sus corrales y refugios, pero también tiene un componente natural muy fuerte de relajación entre lugares. Todo está programado a un ritmo que permite a las personas disfrutar de los lugares sin prisas para que realmente puedan aprovechar estos lugares ... Para los amantes de las cascadas y lagunas es sin duda una ventaja ya que varios se presentan a lo largo del recorrido después del almuerzo que no están al alcance del caminante normal. Itinerario
Inicio de la experiencia desde el punto de encuentro a las 10 de la mañana con todos los participantes con destino a Pedra bela. Pasando por varias áreas de picnic y subiendo a la cima de la montaña a través de un bosque.
Ubicación con fantásticas vistas sobre todo el valle de Gerês y Albufeira da Caniçada. Paisajes impresionantes donde se pueden ver algunos Picos de la Serra do Gerês. Inicio de la caminata alrededor de las 10:45 am que nos llevará al Curral de Carvalhas das Éguas y su refugio pastoral. Después de una breve parada a las 11:25 am nos dirigimos al Curral da Lomba do Vidoeiro donde podemos ver su antiguo refugio, el lugar donde los Pastores pernoctan. Nueva parada para contemplar el lugar ya las 11:50 am comenzamos la fase final de la caminata hacia Prado da Teixeira con llegada cercana a las 12:25 pm donde pararemos para relajarnos a la sombra de sus imponentes robles en un prado verde, para conocer su refugio pastores y absorber la energía de los paisajes de los alrededores. Un pequeño arroyo que pasa por allí forma una piscina natural de agua pura y cristalina donde es posible realizar unas hermosas inmersiones. Un verdadero oasis de montaña. Tiempo también para almorzar (picnic) y reponer energías para el resto del día.
A las 2:30 pm comenzamos una nueva caminata que nos llevará a uno de los mayores secretos de Gerês, la Fecha da Pombeira con su enorme cascada y su piscina natural a la que llaman Cascata dos Hippies. Lugar de parada obligatoria no solo para bañarnos sino también para contemplar lo que la naturaleza tiene para ofrecernos. Alrededor de las 15: 30h continuamos nuestra caminata esta vez por el cauce del río donde encontraremos verdaderos tesoros naturales hasta llegar a la Laguna Olímpica, lugar de parada obligatoria para el baño y conexión con la naturaleza en su estado puro y salvaje.
A las 4:30 pm tiempo para reanudar la caminata hacia una de las cascadas más conocidas de nuestro Parque Nacional, Cascata do Arado, en el camino todavía veremos algunas otras lagunas y cascadas. A las 17: 00h hora de volver a parar en un merendero un poco más adelante donde se le servirá un refrigerio con vino, queso, pan y embutidos para reponer energías para la caminata final que nos llevará de regreso al punto de partida del caminar. A las 17: 30h ya con las energías recuperadas tiempo para realizar la caminata final que nos llevará de nuevo al lugar donde empezamos la jornada en Pedra Bela. Una vez que lleguemos al final de este sendero circular alrededor de las 18: 45h regresaremos al punto de encuentro en el pueblo de Gerês.

Of the best experiences I've ever had in my life. We were surprised by the rain in the middle of the track and still decided to continue, which made the experience even more spectacular. Our guide (Rui) was very attentive and careful and led us to know wonderful landscapes. Experience 5 stars, I recommend.
Difficult access to go down to the bottom...I doubt there are other accesses to go... Recommended for agile people and equipped with good shoes. It is indicated that fatal accidents have already taken place... So go ahead with the utmost care.... After this important safety detail, the natural site is beautiful to be able to swim in these crystal clear waters and jump from the rocks.

This was truly an amazing trek! Our guide was very knowledgeable and very informative. We truly enjoyed the journey, it was by far our favorite experience during our trip to Portugal. If you are a hiker and want a very special experience I highly recommend this trip. When we were tired we took breaks, we brought food and our guide also brought a bunch of food to share with us. I was amazed at the beauty of this area. It was truly breathtaking and absolutely gorgeous!!!! The springs to drink from were fresh and delicious mineral rich water.
Gentleness , choice of route , the beautiful view despite the rain . The guide moved the intinerary so that we could enjoy the sun when it appeared and always showing us as much as possible.
Nelson our guide was very helpful and informative, also very easy to get along with. Showed us the least populated spots around the hike for beautiful views and refreshing dips in lagoons and waterfalls. Nelson has a deep passion for hiking and the culture of the place. He was also very accommodating for everyones needs and capabilities throughout the hike. We loved every bit of the journey with Nelsons guidance. I would recommend this trip to anyone seeking adventure and the best that Geres has to offer!!
Spectacular! I went on a trip with my wife and my dog. As soon as we met with Nelson and Rui I saw it was going to be a day to remember, because our puppy instantly became affectionate to them (rare thing). My wife and I became acquainted with absolutely charming parts of the Gerês, and even had to do some dives in refreshing waterfalls. Nelson and Rui, with their infinite sympathy and kindness, were the perfect guides for a relaxed and memorable walk. An experience that we will undoubtedly repeat!
The Peneda-Gerês National Park is one of the most amazing places to visit, its natural beauty is everywhere. However, Gerês also has its secrets. This secret does not come demarcated in tour guides or itinerary maps. These secrets are revealed with the extensive exploration experience that Wild and Free tours has. The private excursion through the Natural Cascades and Lagoas of Gerês is undoubtedly a spectacular experience to do, with friends, family and all adventurers and nature lovers! Wild and Free is an amazing team to do these adventures, show the corners and corners of all paths and make us feel safe and serene in the middle of Mother Nature!
