Car arrived 75 minutes later than planned driving through the busy streets right in middle of rush hour. Once in the city for 17 seconds we stopped at Emancipation park then back on the car up to the mountains without stopping anywhere in the city or at least driving through city centre instead of run down back streets. At the mountains for 2 long hours you are given a lecture about coffee it's DNA it's family tree and everything under the sun. Then a stop at a very small restaurant for lunch where food is served in a paper bag. You leave comfort of 5 star hotel and on a trip no cutlery is provided. Again as if deliberately planned you end up in rush hour traffic on the way to your hotel. The trip is terribly organised, no structure, no information provided and no breaks on the road.
The driver Nigel is great, unfortunately the place was closed on the mountain.. so we didn’t get to do the tour.
The tour guide simply does not showed up. I tried to reach them via Telefon, Mail, and Whatsapp without success. We waited 1:30 h for nothing. It turned out that the coffee plantage is closed on sundays, but it is still bookable here for sunday, which makes zero sense.
The service was not provided. A full refund was requested. Apparently the tour is not offered on Sundays, but the site allowed me to book anyway. :-(
Nigel was very accommodating and friendly. He has a lot of knowledge and made this the best experience. The coffee tour was also amazing and the guide had SO much knowledge. Highly recommended!
Nigel tour guide was very professional, pleasant knowledgeable and respectful. Made it fun and my friend first trip to Jamaica memorable
Nigel got in touch with me to let me know the plantation might not be open on Sunday for the tour. He suggested he could still show me the mountains. I agreed that I would still go on the tour. The day of the tour he did not show up or respond to my messages or phone calls. He read my messages but never replied to provide an explanation. I requested a refund and did receive the refund. It’s probably a lovely tour but my experience was unfortunate.
They didn't show up. They didn't respond to email or my chat messages via the TripAdvisor website. Their published phone number didn't work. I requested a refund.
Desmond is a great good/sweet guide and driver. The Blue Mountains are beautiful. You can also visit the mountain village where a Rasta communti lives. Desmond's phone number is 2975603
Nigel was terrific, very knowledgeable. His car wasn’t at the quality I expected for the price. The coffee tour itself wasn’t impressive. The lunch stop was terrific, authentic Jamaican food!
