We had Ederson as our guide, and he was fantastic. Not only did he take us to all of the tourist attractions, we could tell that he really had our best interests in mind. He took the most incredible photos, was very knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations. He’s clearly an expert on everything Rio de Janeiro!
We had an amazing experience with our guide Ederson on our private sight seeing tour. He was knowledgeable, very interactive, showed us the best views and took amazing pictures of us at christ the redeemer. We enjoyed the day very much.
Wow - this was our BEST trip booked in Rio. We had Fernanda who was the best travel guide we have ever had. She was not only extremely knowledgeable, but also very helpful and kind with photo shots, taking photos, pointing out the best places to take photos - and all round, an extremely nice, kind and professional person. She honestly made the trip the best ever. Car was very nice too and so was the driver.
Excellent. It is very worth taking this walk.
I was only in Rio for a few days and this was a brilliant way to see all my bucket list sights. Prompt pick up in great air conditioned car and my guide was super experienced making sure we had great photo shots and also took some fabulous photos for me. He suggested we left an hour early which meant less queuing which worked out perfectly. I would have given 5 stars but on occasion, I felt the guide was less engaged and using his phone a lot.
Excellent tour would recommend as it covers all the sites if Rio with very professional guide, lunch was great as well with traditional BBQ lunch.
Sometimes you win with the weather and sometimes you lose. We scheduled this tour on a day that unfortunately ended up 100% rain and clouds. Despite the weather, Ederson (our guide) made the day amazing. He adjusted the morning schedule as much as possible in hopes of the weather clearing by afternoon (it didn't). We had a great tour of the city from his car and learned so much about Rio. We finally attempted the big events late morning (Christ the Redeemer) and Sugarloaf Mountain). We were able to see the Redeemer through the rain and clouds (as a shadow outline), but could see almost nothing from Sugarloaf. I can only imagine how amazing this tour would be on a clear/sunny day. Another positive to a rainy day...we didn't wait in a single line all day (in peak summer tourism).
We spent a fabulous day with Fernanda in Rio. She advised an earlier than normal pickup time (6:20am) to beat crowds and to avoid some of the planned heat of the day. That was a great call. It got us to a viewpoint overlooking the City and Christ the Redeemer early with no crowds, and to the Christ the Redeemer itself right when it opened. It was still crowded but far less so than it would have been even 30 minutes later. That did mean we drove up the hill rather than taking the train, so if you have your heart set on the train, this may not be the best option (but driving up got us the first lookout, which you'd miss if taking the train). From there, we explored much of the City, including the Selaron Steps, the Cathedral, Library, and the Maracanã (football/soccer stadium), among others. We intentionally skipped Sugarloaf Mountain, knowing we could do it on our own another day, which left time to tour Maracanã (a great experience if you are a fan), and otherwise have a more leisurely afternoon. We also stopped for a quick breakfast at a tiny "hole in the wall" place that we never would have entered on our own, and enjoyed a fabulous Brazilian barbecue overlooking the water. Fernanda and her driver (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember) were a joy to be around, and you could tell Fernanda loved her job and her city, which made all the difference. I highly recommend booking this tour, and if you're lucky enough to get Fernanda, make sure you tell her your priorities in advance, so she can customize the itinerary for you. Skipping Sugarloaf was a great decision for us, and made the day much more enjoyable. And we got up the next morning and went up Sugarloaf on the first or second cable car of the day and enjoyed the place almost to ourselves for 30 minutes. We highly recommend this option if you have another morning to do Sugarloaf on your own.
Fernanda was a great guide. Couldn’t have been better , we saw all that we asked Foust our own pace
We had an amazing time. The tour was everything we expected. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you for a brilliant day.
