Itinerario

This tour has just the right balance of history and current culture to set your bearings when you visit Tokyo. Beginning with a visit to a Shinto shrine, down the lively Takeshita street along historic Cat Street and into the bustling neighborhood of Shibuya and its famous crossing. Let Jero show you the way.

This tour was just the right amount of ancient history and current culture to help you get your bearings. Beginning with a visit to a Shinto shrine, along Cat street and into the bustling neighborhood of Shibuya and its famous crossing. Let Jero show you the way.
Thank you so much for your recommendation! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the balance between Tokyo's deep history and its vibrant modern culture. That walk from the Meiji shrine through the creative energy of the Takeshita & Cat Street and finally into the organized chaos of Shibuya is one of my favorite ways to show the city's unique contrast. I’m glad I could help you 'set your bearings' for the rest of your stay. It was a pleasure guiding you, and I hope to see you back in Tokyo someday! Best regards, Jero
My husband and I came to Tokyo for the first time. So we decided to go on a private guided tour for the start of our trip. We chose this tour to get a decent overview of Tokyo and its habits. We have been not prepared to make a new friends instantly. So we decided to book another tour as well. Really wonderful guide. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for these incredibly kind words. To be honest, I wasn't prepared to make new friends so instantly either, but that’s exactly what made our time together so special! It was a pleasure helping you and your husband navigate your first days in Tokyo and sharing some of our local habits with you. The fact that you decided to book a second tour right away is the biggest compliment I could receive. I truly hope you enjoyed the rest of your Japan adventure, and I can’t wait to welcome my 'new friends' back to Tokyo someday! Warm regards, Jero
We just had the coolest intro to Tokyo. Jero was a fabulous guide. Highly recommend to book the tour on your trip to Tokyo
Thanks so much! I’m thrilled to hear you had the 'coolest intro' to Tokyo. That’s exactly what I aim for! It was a blast showing you around, and I truly appreciate the high recommendation. Enjoy the rest of your trip! Best, Jero
Wonderfully comprehensive tour with tons of valuable info. Jero is one of the best tour guides i've ever had (and i've had many!) We were able to see so much during our time with him. He took pictures and videos along the way and then air dropped them to my phone. We have already scheduled a second tour and are looking forward to it!
Thank you so much, Lori! ✨ I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed the tour. We packed a lot into our time together, and it was a joy showing you around. I’m glad the photos and videos were helpful too, it’s always nice to have those memories ready to look back on. Can’t wait to explore even more of Tokyo with you!
Booking this tour was the best decision of our trip to Japan. We couldn't have had a better start. Jero picked us up at the hotel and his open, warm and sympathetic nature immediately took us for him. With an enthusiastic “There’s so much to do here!” he led us confidently and thrillingly into the middle of this overwhelming city. It's incredible what you can see and experience in four hours. Thanks to Jero, we sent wishes on our way to the Meiji Shrine, enjoyed cotton candy and ramen, swung katana, chatted about life in Tokyo over coffee on rooftop terraces, admired cozy neighborhoods and modern high-rises, wandered through yokochas (lanes full of izakayas), browsed department stores, got wonderful photo memories (Jero takes great photos), to name a few. Besides, we would never have discovered many insider tips, such as viewpoints of the Shibuya crossing, without him. Jero is by far the greatest guide we have ever experienced. Immerse yourself in the many facets of Tokyo at his side is a gift. It is not only his almost inexhaustible knowledge of the culture, history, places and people and his passionate enthusiasm for his city and Japanese culture, but above all his authentic, warm and so incredibly attentive way of giving his guests the feeling of having a good friend by his side. Being on the road with Jero means being inspired, excited, enriched, surprised and cared for. We had a wonderful time with him. If you’re short of time or looking for a wonderful start to your Tokyo trip, book this tour with Jero. There's nothing better. We will definitely come back.
Vielen, vielen Dank, Juliane! 🇯🇵✨
It was a great tour to get to know the most famous place in Tokyo!! We would definitely got lost if we were by ourselves. Thank you Jero, the tour was amazing!
Thank you again, Daniel! 🎎 I’m so happy you enjoyed exploring Tokyo’s highlights together - it was such a fun day! Navigating this big city can be tricky at first, but you handled it like pros. Hope the rest of your time in Japan is just as smooth and full of great discoveries!
During an eight-hour, full-day German-language tour, Jero introduced us to the many fascinating facets of Tokyo in an impressive and engaging way. His profound knowledge of the city’s history, culture, and architecture was complemented by numerous insightful background details and authentic glimpses into everyday life. What stood out most was Jero’s passion and dedication in the way he conducts his tours. His personal enthusiasm is truly infectious, creating a lively and memorable experience for everyone involved. When we asked to extend the tour, he kindly agreed and continued guiding us for another four hours — an exceptional gesture that made our day even more special. We can wholeheartedly recommend Jero. He has a remarkable ability to present the city not only informatively, but also with genuine authenticity and cultural depth.
Dear Tim, thank you so much for your truly wonderful and thoughtful review. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed discovering Tokyo’s many sides and that my passion for this city came through during our time together. Spending the extra hours with you exploring even more was a real pleasure. I’m delighted the tour left such a lasting impression, and I hope our paths cross again on another Tokyo adventure!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was the second day we booked with Jero and we loved every moment. He actually customized the tour to our interests so we could enjoy the fullest. This time we went to Ueno and Asakusa what was amazing and so different to the other part of the city we have seen a day before. We are very grateful we booked the time with Jero and wish you all the best. Let’s meet again soon
Thank you so much for coming back for a second tour that truly means a lot! I’m so happy you enjoyed discovering Ueno and Asakusa as well, two areas that show such a different and traditional side of Tokyo.
