A solo 40 minutos de Atenas, el lago Vouliagmeni es un spa termal natural único situado en medio de un paisaje impresionante. Conocido por sus aguas cálidas y ricas en minerales, el lago es un destino popular para la relajación y los amantes de la naturaleza por igual. Reconocido oficialmente por el Comité Especial para la Protección de los Recursos Termales Naturales de Grecia, el lago Vouliagmeni ofrece un refrescante comienzo de su recorrido por la región del Ática. El agua del lago brota de manantiales de 50 a 100 metros de profundidad a una temperatura que oscila entre 22 y 29 grados centígrados durante todo el año. El lago desemboca en el mar ya que su nivel de agua está a 50 cm sobre el nivel del agua del mar. Esto ayuda en la renovación continua del agua del lago y resulta en su composición salobre.
A 30 minutos en coche de Vouliagmeni se encuentra el antiguo templo de Poseidón en Cabo Sounion, situado en la costa sur del Ática con vistas al mar de Myrtoan. Construido entre 444 y 440 a. C. durante la época de Pericles, este templo fue dedicado a Poseidón, el dios del mar. El templo servía como mirador clave para los barcos que entraban y salían del puerto de El Pireo. Panos was our tour guide and driver for this experience. He was amazing to do this experience with die to his knowledge of Greek history. He was patience with us and our questions about Greece. His driving made us feel at ease during the trip. Excellent guide and scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at the Temple of Poseidon and listening to Panos sharing Greek history with us.
Our tour guide, Giannis, was awesome and very flexible. He drives carefully and we always felt safe. The temple is nice and in a wonderful location. The drive to get there is a bit long but with nice views along the coastline. It’s worth the trip if you have a few days in Athens.
The trip was amazing and our guide John was very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to spend a lot of time at the temple and we even got to see the lake, so that was pretty. The drive to the site was beautiful, and would highly recommend this tour!
Both the lake and the Temple of Poseidon provided beautiful experiences. The day was beautiful and the pictures were fantastic. It's been many decades since I last visited the Temple of Poseidon so I was very happy to do so with my cousins that finally came back in Greece from Australia. So much have changed over the years but we were so excited to have this tour and it far exceeded our expectations. The driver was very pleasant and he didn't mind our jokes and loudness.
