9:00 Recojo de su hotel en Amsterdam. Un corto trayecto en coche desde la ciudad hasta Zaanse Schans
9.30: Llegamos a Zaanse Schans. Este es un pueblo preservado con una variedad de casas históricas, almacenes y molinos de viento industriales en funcionamiento. ¡Se siente como si estuvieras viajando en el tiempo! Experimentarás cómo era la vida entre los siglos XVIII y XIX y te unirás a un taller de calzado de madera para ver cómo se fabrican los zuecos, y concluirás con una visita a un molino de viento en funcionamiento.
En la quesería de Henry Willig tendremos una degustación de Queso Gouda. Están en el top 10 de queseros mundiales. Si eres amante del queso… ¡estás en el paraíso del queso! Tienen 30 sabores de queso para degustar. 29 están pasteurizados para que puedas viajar con el queso por todo el mundo. También tienen opciones para enviar el queso. Así que no tienes que preocuparte por elegir solo un favorito.
12:30 Nos dirigiremos al famoso pueblo de pescadores de Volendam.
13.00: Hora del almuerzo en Volendam. Puedes elegir dónde quieres almorzar. Como lugareños, conocemos muchos lugares agradables. Ya sea en un restaurante de pescado local o simplemente tomando un refrigerio. 14.00: Un paseo por Volendam, conocido como el pueblo de pescadores más popular de Holanda. El encanto de Volendam reside en su puerto y en las auténticas casas de pescadores. El laberinto es la parte más antigua de Volendam. Aquí veremos pequeñas casas de pescadores y calles estrechas. Lo que es único del laberinto es que las casas fueron construidas sin ningún patrón de calles. Daremos un pequeño paseo por el laberinto y por el famoso dique de Volendam. 14.15: Viaje en ferry por el IJselmeer (antiguo mar del Sur) hasta la península de Marken, que alguna vez fue una isla en el mar del Sur.
14.45: Llegada a Marken. Marken es un pequeño pueblo con coloridas casas de madera, puentes levadizos y un pequeño puerto ubicado en una antigua isla. Realizaremos un pequeño paseo por el pueblo.
15.00: Volver a su hotel en Amsterdam

Our day with Esther was the highlight of our trip. She did an amazing job of guiding us through culture, history, food, and so much more. Her personal connection to windmills, farming, and the people at each stop added such depth to the tour. She was such a pleasure to spend the day with. Perfect day out with Esther. We saw so many wonderful things and the information Esther shared along the was amazing. We walked along paths through villages that had we been in our own we would have never thought we could go down. Esther was not only our tour guide she warm, charming and also a great photographer. She captured images of our tour and shared them with us at the end of the tour. Could not recommend this tour enough. If you are in Amsterdam, do yourself a favour and book one of the tours.

We spent a lovely day with our tour guide, Esther. She is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had many questions and she had answers and stories that turned the areas into living history with charm and filled with lived experiences. Because it was a private tour we could go at our own pace and had the flexibility to modify our schedule when we found something that really fascinated us. Esther really is the BEST!! We couldn’t be happier about our day of learning and experiencing this wonderful area of Holland.

From the moment Ester greeted us in our hotel lobby we knew we were going to have a great day. She is warm, friendly and knowledgeable about Holland. We had the best time visiting the windmills, villages and cheese shops. We had many questions and Esther had answers for all of the. She shared stories that made the history come to life. This was a private tour and therefore we were able to be flexible with the schedule. Everything worked out perfectly for us. Did some searching for a private tour to the windmills, wooden shoes and cheese countryside, not wanting the typical larger group type tour. So happy to have found the Windmill Girls! From the start communication was easy and responsive. We spent a wonderful day with Maaike today and met Esther as well while we were out exploring.
