Very informative and interesting. Thanks so much. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. This is crazy
Thank you for your review! We're glad you found the tour informative and interesting. We appreciate you joining us and hope to see you again in the future.
Really moving and thoughtfully done. The guide explained Anne Frank’s story in a respectful way and taught us a lot about the history of Amstersam. Walking through the city while hearing how everything connected turned it into an impactful experience.
Very informative! Aaron was really detailed Overall a great experience. I would recommend to anyone looking to get a history lesson on Amsterdam’s role in WW2. the 2 hours flew by
Aarón was a great tour guide, very knowledge, kind and funny. We learned a lot of things of WWII that we didn’t know about before.
The history and information presented were good. For those very interested in the WWII history of Amsterdam, it gives a good overview with suggestions of where to go for more in depth information. We were a bit put off by Aaron’s use of foul language and his generous sharing of personal opinion during the tour. He’s Irish and some of that might simply be cultural differences between Irish and Americans.
This was an excellent tour, and our guide was fantastic. We learned so much, and are thankful we booked this tour. The only problem we had was that it was Pride weekend and there were so many people, that we couldn't find our guide at the beginning.
I travel frequently and always look forward to private tours that offer local insight and personalized experiences. Unfortunately, this one fell flat—not because of the destinations, which were beautiful, but because of the guide, Aaron. From the start, his demeanor was cold and condescending. After an exhausting eight-hour flight and significant jet lag, I was met with sarcasm and a thinly veiled disdain for Americans. Instead of creating a welcoming atmosphere, he made snide remarks—including mocking me for being a “Yank”—and seemed more interested in testing my knowledge of history than sharing his own. When I didn’t know something, his responses were arrogant and dismissive. The entire experience was tainted by his attitude. It’s hard to enjoy a tour when your guide clearly resents doing the job and shows potential bias toward certain nationalities or backgrounds. If you’re considering this tour, I’d strongly suggest requesting a different guide—anyone but Aaron.
We learned a lot and it was fun to have our own guide for our family. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable.
The tour was outstanding. James was incredibly knowledgeable and insightful. My wife and I learned a great deal. Very memorable!
Really enjoyed the your tour. James gave us lots of interesting and mostly unknown historical perspectives as well as recommendations of other museums to see. Would definitely recommend.
