A fascinating site which lived up to all expectations; very well-informed guide who had good historical and artistic knowledge
Absolutely fantastic experience on this walking tour of Carthage! From start to finish. Our guide, Gigi, was both engaging and incredibly informative. He was knowledgeable, passionate, and brought the ancient ruins to life with vivid stories and historical context that you simply wouldn’t get wandering around on your own.
We really enjoyed our tour. Jiji/Gigi was friendly and informative, and we visited some really interesting sites, despite the museum being closed on Mondays. Our guide was able to adapt quickly and take us instead to a fascinating neighborhood, the Magon Quarter. We were also given some time to explore the places we visited on our own. A great way to have help making sense of what we were seeing!
Many thanks to Mourad, who guided me very knowledgeably and kindly through the archaeological sites of Carthage! His historical explanations and perspectives, but also their references to the present, were very interesting.
This was a very good experience. Mourad was very helpful and knowledgable as a guide. He also helped us to get from one place to another, which was useful, as the places were quite far from another. After the guidance, he even drove us to our base. Warmly recommended.
We had an excellent tour with Jibran who is very passionate about the history of Carthage and Rome and really brought the sites to life. The walking tour was a good length and made it to all of the key archeological sites. We really enjoyed getting to see some of the archeologists at work at the sites. This tour is well worth it!
Very nice experience and Mourad was a very good guide! And the news was exciting. Many thanks to the guide! Small flat no possibility to book for 5 at the start. High and non-degressive price depending on the number of people present. No set schedules at the start, need for the customer to contact the platform. Too bad that no possibility of a longer visit 6 hours to see all the moments of Carthage and not half.
Fantastic morning spent with Gigi from Le Lemon Tour walking all around the sites of ancient Carthage. “Passionnant et passionné” as they say in French. Gigi is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who lives and loves his subject. He made the tour come alive and was adaptable to our needs. A great way to spend the day ending at the Antonin bath. 3 hours flew by - we highly recommend this tour.
This tour is seriously a gem! Our tour guide Mourad was personable, deeply knowledgeable, and a fun person to take a tour with. We went to a lot of archeological sites, and had an in-depth explanation of each all while traveling through the beautiful city of Carthage. The tour was just my group (4 people) and I was very happy that we were not combined into a larger group with other tourists. The cost was totally reasonable, and the tour lasted longer than I expected so we got even more value for our money. On the whole, this tour was a great experience and I would totally recommend it if you love exploring ruins and talking about history.
I booked online confirming twice with Mark that we were booking for 1pm. Arrived at tour office 1pm to be told we were expected at 10am so there was no guide for us. Nobody contacted me to say it was 10am for the tour, only that tours happen between 10am and 4pm. If I'd known it was 10am I would have cancelled immediately. The payment of £95 leaves me disgusted with the experience. We were just left with Google maps online to walk around parts of the sites ourselves. If I could give 'no' stars with this review I would.
Hello Thomas, thank you for your review. As we understand your disappointment with how your day went, we need to clarify what exactly happened because this seems to be a rather harsh review directed at the wrong business. You have clearly received communication about your starting time and have not showed up (we have screenshots of our messages and calls). You received a message from us on Viator, saturday 8 at 9am to tell you our tour starts at 10am. No response. The day of the tour the guide comes in, we wait, write to you on viator then we call you. You did not have whatsapp and your phone was on voicemail. We wait till 10:30 then declare it a no show on Viator. At exactly 1:05:38 pm you show up (have camera proof of it) You tell us you have a tour at 1pm, we explain the above to you and you tell us you confirmed the time of 1pm with a chatbot named Mark but you have not saved that conversation. We explain that we have no notice of that and show you how we tried to reach out. As a proof of good faith, we suggest you join a bike tour we have at 2pm and we even offer ebikes if you were not feeling fit enough. You refused. We then suggest a tour on tuesday (the only availability we have) you say you go back that day. We finally offer you a booklet we have that contains itineraries, to do the tour on your own and profusely apologise but make sure you understand we did not receive any information about a tour at 1pm and showed you the reservation email we received. Please keep in mind that we did not have to go to such lengths to help you salvage your day but we out of good faith and hospitality. You seemed to understand.
