Caminar por las calles empedradas de Pelourinho es una experiencia emocionante. En este recorrido a pie de 3 horas, vivirás y sentirás una mezcla de cultura con la fuerte influencia africana, que hace de este casco antiguo único y uno de los lugares "imperdibles" del mundo.

El Tour Histórico tiene lugar en la vibrante ciudad vieja, Pelourinho, patrimonio de la UNESCO desde 1985. El recorrido comienza en la Plaza Terreiro de Jesús, una de las 3 plazas importantes de la ciudad vieja. Se encuentran 3 iglesias, incluyendo la Catedral de Salvador, y un edificio donde fue la primera Escuela de Medicina en Brasil. Recomendamos una visita a la Catedral y su hermosa decoración y Sacristía (Acceso no incluido). En el camino hacia la Plaza Pelourinho, caminamos por las calles empedradas, viendo artesanía, admirando las coloridas casas coloniales, sintiendo el ritmo de la ciudad.
La plaza Pelourinho es la plaza principal de la ciudad vieja y uno de los hitos de Salvador. Allí vemos a La Madre del Rosario de la Iglesia de los Negros, o "La Iglesia Azul", un monumento muy importante de la época de la esclavitud en Brasil. Desde allí también podemos ver el otro lado de la ciudad vieja, llamada Carmo, con la vista de 3 Iglesias. Subimos a la calle Carmo, donde vemos la Iglesia N. Sr. dos Passos y sus famosas escaleras. Por lo general, esta plaza es una zona concurrida, con turistas y lugareños, donde puedes sentir el ritmo de la batería de la música afro-reggae única.
Desde allí caminamos, siempre por las calles empedradas, hasta la 3ra. Plaza principal, Plaza de la Cruz. Allí se encuentra una de las iglesias más impresionantes y ricas de Brasil, la Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, con su exuberante interior barroco de hojas doradas, y un porche con los famosos azulejos portugueses pintados a mano. Recomendamos una visita (tarifa de entrada alrededor de 1 euro). Se le dará unos 20 minutos gratis en esta plaza, por lo que tendrá tiempo para beber un refrescante agua de coco si lo desea, y disfrutar de la zona.
En el camino a la Praça Tomé de Souza (Plaza Municipal), caminamos por la Plaza Sé con la antigua Casa del Obispo, el Sé Belvedere, donde se encuentra la escultura Falling Breaking Cross y la vista de la Bahía. Una vez que llegamos a la Plaza Municipal, disfrutamos de un famoso hito de Salvador, la vista desde la Ciudad Baja y la Bahía de Todos los Santos, junto al elevador Lacerda. El Ayuntamiento, el Ayuntamiento, desde la época colonial, y el Palacio de Río Branco, desde principios del siglo XX, están allí.
Es una famosa plaza, especializada en época de Carnaval. Hermosa vista de la Bahía de Todos los Santos y zona hotelera de lujo.

Ana was a great guide and very knowledgeable. She took us around and even helped us see things we hadn’t planned!
We had very good experience with our tour guide Carlos through the city of Salvador. He was very nice, competent and speaks good English. He showed us the best places in the city and gave us very interesting facts about the Brazilian history.
Salvador is vibrant and alive with music, culture, and history! This tour gave us an in-depth view of the city’s Afro-Brazilian roots, colonial history, and stunning coastline.
I am suspicious of commenting because I love Salvador, I have a very strong connection with the historical and cultural heritage of this city, I am passionate about Sacred Art and the Bahian capital presents a vast number of temples in short space, characteristic this originating from Portugal.
Ana met us at the cruise terminal and quickly began describing the history and culture of Salvador. We took the elevator up to Pelourinho to see several several interesting spots including a craft market and several churches. She did a great job of keeping us informed along the way. We found Ana's tour to be a great value, much better than the 40-person excursions offered by our cruise.
Salvador is a very interesting city and worth exploring with a guide if it’s your first visit. Gabriela will provide lots of tidbits, advice and recommendations.
It was wonderful! Not only that we saw the most beautiful places in Salvador, but also the dedication in telling stories and knowledge about the history of the city, were really great at Ana! We also visited corners that you can only see if you know exactly about Salvador and its special corners and the culture. So, a clear recommendation and always back!
You need to take this tour with Ana! She is so well informed of the city, culture, and food. Oh my goodness. We did not expect much from this port city on our cruise but Ana opened our eyes and taste buds to the amazing city Salvador Bahia is. She knows the locals. She grew up here. You will get everything and more with Ana at your side. Don’t miss the St. Francis church! Or the coconut milk with lime!!! Can’t say enough about Ana and the city! ENJOY!!!
A unique experience to meet Salvador through the hands of a Bahiana in love with the city. Super guide, with a lot of historical knowledge that she manages to connect to the local culture. It was two days with Ana, a panoramic tour and another walking in the historic center, we took great advantage, ending with a delicious moqueca in a restaurant recommended by her.
Ana is simply amazing!!! We were 3 young couples from Germany in Salvador and decided to hire her for a tour. She knows really a looot. Explained the history, the culture, the food and much more not only through words but by showing and tasting... We had a great time, got to know a lot of nice areas and places, tried several typical foods during the tour such as Tapioca and Acarajé, ate in a great local restaurant and drank the famous cravinho, all by suggestion from her... We also watched the famous Capoeira, a mix of dance and martial arts... I can only recommend her. Her german is excellent, as well as her english!!! Go for it and be sure if a great experience!!
