Not all who wander are lost, the quote goes. So when I unexpectedly found myself with half a day to explore being in Hong Kong on my own, I reached out to find an experienced local guide. My guide, Rita, was excellent at helping me narrow down my options. I wanted an up-close, meandering tour that would divulge the history and culture of Hong Kong. And that’s exactly what we did! It had been over fifteen years since my last being in Hong Kong, and since I’d never been to Lantau Island, that’s where we set off. Along the way, Rita gave me the backstory to many of the neighborhoods we passed, the engineering feat to create the changes over the years, and amazingthe biodiversity of the Island. And even though I am Chinese by descent, I loved how Rita still managed to surprise me with tidbits about Hong Kong culture I didn't know. It was like touring the town with an old friend who just so happens to know everything! I only wish I had more than half a day!
Guide prepared and very helpful, was able to show you everything we wanted and also made us taste typical products
Lots of walking. Hans was very knowledgeable. Got to experience a trolley, ferry to the mainland, fish market and old parts. Excellent!
We've seen a lot of touristic places in a short amount of time. Foreigner tour guide, not local, very interesting point of view.
Many thanks for your feedback! I have forwarded it to the guide.
Very nice experience. Enjoyed our guide, Julia, and her knowledge of the city. We saw many of the sights.
My husband and I had such a lovely day with Hans. He carefully guided us through many of the key Hong Kong sights and also explained the history and local culture. Hans was delightful, professional and kind. We navigated the ferry, subway, trolley and taxis safely with Hans. He offered us a taste of fresh mangosteen, hand sanitizer after every trolley stop, even a charge up of our phones with his back up battery and dinner recommendations. Hans thought of everything! Was truly a wonderful day and so worth it. We highly recommend!
The organization with Suisse-Plus-Travel Hong Kong worked well from the start. We had the tour in German with our guide Hans. Hans is extremely personable, has taken up our wishes immediately and he has known the city like his own pocket in all its facets for over 25 years. We were able to experience a guided tour tailored to us , which was extremely interesting and educational, profound and entertaining. We had already participated in a lot of guided tours, which with Hans, respectively Suisse-Plus-Travel Hong Kong is among the very best! Viele Dank Hans.
As I got a last minute cancelation from the other company I booked months ago, I was overwhelmed with the idea of exploring the city by myself (in the rain 😅). Gavino managed to respond to my last minute in the middle of the night and found me an amazing tour guide. Neil, my tour guide, listened to my needs, took the time to customize my tour and gave me a lot of trivia about HK history. Even with the bad weather, he tried to show me the best scenics spots of HK. Thank you Gavino and Neil, I will definitely book again with Suisse travel when I’ll be in Hong Kong ☺️
Our guide, Rina, was wonderful!! She came picked us up at our hotel on time and took us around the beautiful places in Hong Kong in a very organized way. We walked, ride in tram, bus and train in no time and no stress. She knows the area so well that made our tour less stressful. She brought us back to the hotel after the tour and also arranged our transportation to the airport for the next day. She done above and beyond her job description. We highly recommended and appreciated her!! Thank you.
Jenny was knowledgeable of HK courteous we were very please experienced a day with her ! Will book with Viator , any day ! She came to our Hotel to meet us !!!
