I don't recomend this tour operator for any tours. He called last minute at 7AM (when I was trying to reach him on the phone as well as via text) and cancelled my tour. I was stranded and didn't do anything the whole day. Don't book any tours with these guys........ they gave me the refund. But, what's the point!!!!!!
The most memorable part was seeing the waterfall, 135 flight of stairs hike, making coffee from scratch, having small fish nipple at our feet, and swimming in the warm springs water that comes directly from the volcano.
My friends and I booked and paid for this tour in May. I received a WhatsApp message confirming our booking from David Victor within 24 hours of booking. Two weeks prior to the trip I reached out through Tripadvisor and WhatsApp to confirm the pickup information. I did not receive a response from David Victor until the day before our tour. At that time he confirmed our pickup location and time. At 5:20am on the day of our tour David Victor sent a message that the drive was running 30 minutes behind schedule. Just after 7:00am a driver arrived and told us he was instructed to bring us to meet his colleague. We were driven to a cafe where we met David Victor. He told us that he was unable to get our money from the bank and asked if we could pay him in cash for the tour and he would refund our money through Tripadvisor. We told him we did not have cash, but since we paid for the full tour in advance the money is there and we should be provided the tour. David Victor then asked us if we could just go to the ATM to get cash. Again, we declined. He refused to take us on the tour. He did refund our money through Tripadvisor, but he also followed us to the car trying to get us to change our minds. Once back in the car the driver informed us that it was his first day working with David Victor. He received a call from him at 6:30am asking him to pick us up by 7:00 am. The driver showed us his phone log to confirm the call. Our tour pick up time was supposed to be 6:30am, which David Victor confirmed the evening before the tour. Due to the late start and last minute cancellation we missed out on an experience that we had been looking forward to, due to bad business practices. I hope this information assist others selecting another tour company, so they do not have the same experience on their vacation!
I did not book my tour through Trip Advisor but did so through Viator however I am not seeing an option to leave a review there . This provider is a scam , on the evening before my tour an agent named Victor came to my hotel and told me that if I still wanted to do this tour I would need to cancel my booking with Viator and pay him directly the $92 that I had paid Viator and that eventually Viator would give me a refund . He said taking me on the tour would not be profitable for him as Viator would take over a month to pay him and he needed his money asap . I told him that at that point I didn’t have $92 in cash , he asked if I was willing to pay less . He went ahead and cancelled the booking himself I told him I only had less that $50 cash and he said this would only get me something around the Arusha area . He showed me a waterfall that he said would be equally nice and that I could also go to an art center . He said a driver would come pick me up in the morning . When I called him in the morning to find out how to pay he simply said Yes and didn’t offer a greeting as if I was bothering him . I went for this alternative tour , the waterfall tour didn’t even last an hour as it was just a small falls about 5 minutes from my hotel as well as the art center as I spent about 30minutes walking through the gallery . Be careful when booking with this provider as he did not care that I had travelled half away across the world for this experience.
This tour was the best of our stay in Tanzania! The waterfalls and hotsprings were amazing, the coffee tour so interesting, and the lunch delicious. Edwin and Justin made the experience unforgettable. We learned so much thanks to them, and absolutely recommend that tour.
Our guides Amani nanyaro and David mdee were kind and opened to listen our suggestions... the tour was well planned as it started and finished on time. They help you with the sim card for your cellphone. We were a group of 7 people in two jeeps. Do not hesitate and choose them for an unforgettable experience. The guides speak Spanish as I do, so if that is your mother tongue you will feel comfortable
It was an amazing experience. Everything is very well organised . The driver and the Guide are two awesome guys that always answer to any question that u have and they are very patient with the clients. The food…… AMAZING!!!
