En este cenote esmeralda conocerás un ojo de agua natural, principal fuente de agua para la Laguna de Bacalar
Dentro de este cenote podrás conocer los estromatolitos, ¿qué son y para que sirven? ¿Por qué son tan importantes cuidarlos?
El tiempo de viaje hasta llegar a este punto es de 30 minutos. En esta área podrás nadar y es un sitio ideal ya que no es profundo, de igual manera si tenemos algo de suerte podremos admirar las diversas aves que anidan en esta isla.
Conoceras este cenote para apreciar la diferencia entre cenote y laguna, ya que el borde que tiene este cenote es espectacular.
Con una vista sobre la laguna apreciarás el Fuerte de San Felipe, sitio que fue construido para uso de defensa contra los constantes ataques de piratas ingleses que llegaban a Bacalar por búsqueda de recursos naturales.
Aquí podrás disfrutar de un tiempo para nadar, desde profundidades bajas a profundas de acuerdo a tu interés, es un punto ideal para fotos. Al finalizar tendremos un tiempo de viaje de regreso de 30 minutos.
Los estromatolitos son una formación rocosa, importantes a nivel mundial ya que con ello se forma la capa de ozono, durante el recorrido iremos conociendo su importancia en diversos puntos.

We had a great time on the lagoon with Zayed, highly recommended
We booked our tour about 3 hours ahead so we had a destination point when we arrived. But you can also just go at this time of year (July) to book on the spot in Bacalar. Zayed was a great host. We really enjoyed the tour and learning about the geology of the area. It was super relaxing and chill.
A highly recommended boat tour around the lagoon with an opportunity to swim. Our guide Zayed was very friendly and informative. We chose an overcast day to go but the water was still warm and we could still admire the water’s beautiful colours.

It was an incredible tour and I spent a truly wonderful afternoon. Zayed Pérez was a very kind and approachable person. His explanations were excellent and helped me understand the history and characteristics of the Bacalar lagoon much better. The lagoon is truly beautiful, even more than I imagined, and it is undoubtedly totally worth visiting. In addition, Zayed had a gesture that I appreciated very much: he picked me up at my hotel, stored my luggage in the vehicle during the entire tour and, at the end, he took me directly to the bus terminal! That type of customer service makes a big difference. I recommend it 100%.
