We traveled in 7 friends with the Darversh Tour agency, correspondent of our Italian agency. Our guide throughout the tour was Mrs.Muhayyo: she was outstanding. Competent, capable, kind, always smiling and available to understand and manage the difficulties and limitations of a small group "differently young". Among Muhayyo's qualities there are some fundamental pluses. Among them the enthusiasm with which she approaches her work that really fascinates her, and through Muhayyo we relived in her words and on the tour between Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand and Taschent, the history of this country of extraordinary beauty with a past that in the collective imagination is full of charm and mystery. Another great quality is the speed with which he realizes the need and finds solutions. Congratulations, really. Indispensable more days for this tour. So....Thanks Muhayyo and Darvesh tour....and next visit!!!!
Very professional, kind, and knowledgeable guide. Comprehensive tour of the city with lunch at a local restaurant with great food.
Very good tour with local guide. Luch included with all the entrance fees to all the Mosques and Mausoleums. Also got plenty of photos taken by the guide.
Very good adventure with day trip in Samarkand. Good trip with all the Mosques and Mausoleums. Also all the admissions sites included with the lunch.
Today I explored a lot of very interesting historical places in Samarkand via the Samarkand City Tour and I had a wonderful day thanks to my guide. With her deep knowledge about the places we visited and also knowledge about the history of the area in general with religion, culture, cuisine etc. she gave the tour life so to speak. I learnt a lot about the visited historical places, life in Samarkand, the life in Uzbekistan and the countries in the area, both during the historical centuries but also about today’s life in Samarkand, and the historical ties to ancient times. She gave me the whole picture of the area. Very well done! Lars
Unfortunately did not get to visit Ulug Beg’s observatory as stated on the itinerary, which was disappointing. Apart from that, definitely worth the trip.
Excellent guide. Very good transport. AC. Lunch included delicious. At a local restaurant. Pilaf Uzbek, sensational.
The sights were really beautiful. Our guide, Sevinch, knew the history of her city very well. She kept the pace slow to match my walking difficulty. Much appreciated!
3 stars only for the exceptionally shoddy organizer. The guide, Zainab, was very good and played no part in this shambolic arrangement. I booked this as a group tour. Late in the evening the day before the operator informed me that my pickup time changed from 9AM to 10:45AM. This was because he had another group doing this as a day trip from Tashkent and he combined them with my tour. The group got in late. We started the tour at 11:40, took a lunch break right after the first stop and then pretty much rushed through all of the other attractions because the other group had to be dropped off at 5PM for their train. The guide was knowledgeable, was proud of her history and heritage but had to rush through just to keep time. All in all while I can recommend this tour but please check how the groups are combined.
This was an excellent tour of all the main sites in Samarkand - a long day, but extremely informative, given the really in-depth knowledge of our guide. She spoke excellent english, and was able to jump ahead in the ticket lines to get our tickets so we didn't lose much time at all. The driver was very good, always waiting right on the spot.
Thank You! We are always ready to provide best travel experience across the Uzbekistan
