Twisty mountain roads but a good driver, with some scenic views and nice short hike at the end. Friendly guide.
Fantastic trip with our guide Dion. We were picked up on time at the agreed place. Dion told exciting about Albania and its history during the bus trip. The drive up to Gamti Mountain was an experience in itself due to the state of the road, but our driver drove safely and calmly all the way. Dion was good at keeping track of the group. He spoke good English and was easy to understand. He kept making sure everyone was there and was well. At the same time he was genuinely interested in us tourists, asked questions and made us feel especially welcome. The trip up Gamti Mountain was hard, but it was definitely worth all the effort. The view was absolutely fantastic and there was plenty of time to enjoy nature and take pictures. A really good experience – and definitely worth the money.
The experience itself was pleasant. The guide was nice and told interesting facts about the lake and the mountain. Perfectly reasonable hike up the mountain, but a little slippery rocks so you had to tread carefully the last bit. Very beautiful nature but you get sad about all the litter in nature. A new and fresh restaurant on the mountain so you could eat, drink and go to the toilet. Beautiful view. The last kilometers to the lake and the mountain was the road in terrible condition so you should maybe think an extra time if you have back pain or easily get motion sickness.

We had a fantastic trip to Bovilla Lake and Gamti Mountain. It was a nice walk and beautiful views. Our guide, Altea, was friendly and inclusive. She spoke very good English and was easy to communicate with. She told us interesting things about Albania. The driver was also skilled and maneuvered the car safely through the winding and bumpy roads. We got good value for money and the trip can be safely recommended.
Our guide Gledi is very friendly and told us alot about the history and tour. The walk itself is just a easy one, taking only 15 min up and down
Great trip! Altea was full of energy and enthusiasm and did a great job of keeping us all informed along the way. The views are amazing and worth the effort needed to get up the top. Wear shoes with a good grip as done of the rocks can be loose and slippy. Would highly recommend this trip :)
It is a long drive (90 minutes-120 minutes depending on traffic), which is worth it. Our bus driver was an excellent driver. On an unpaved winding road, he brought us safely up to the plateau and back down again. 🫣😊 The guide was always available. There was a restroom break along the way. The hike took about 30-40 minutes including climbing stairs (one way). The view is sensational. Sturdy footwear is definitely appropriate. The way back is a bit faster (maybe 20 minutes) There is stress-free time for photos and you can have something to drink and eat. Our automatically assigned pickup point was really bad. We were in Golem and were supposed to come to Durrës. We did that by taxi for 2120 Lek (approx. 22 euros). However, it turned out that the nearest pickup was right near the hotel we were staying at. On the way back, we got off there. Still 5 stars 🤩
A fun hike & beautiful view. The driver navigated the roads like an expert and the tour guide Gledi was communicative prior to the trip, and informative and friendly during. We had time to enjoy the view and have a snack or drink if you wanted to. We also happened to see some goats and sheep nearby which was enjoyable. I recommend this group and trip! You will be happy you went.
Our guide Dion was very nice, he spoke perfect english, shared interesting facts about Albania and guided us throughout the entire tour. The hike itself was not very hard and the view at the top was amazing
