Our guide was very knowledgeable about the show, and it was a treat getting to know some behind-the-scenes info about the time GoT filmed in Dubrovnik and Lokrum.
An informative tour. Alex, our tour guide was excellent.
Our tour guide Luca was extremely knowledgeable, funny and gave us tips along the way. Our family had to cut the tour short, and wasn't able to travel to Lokrum, but Viator was able to accommodate us with the Lokrum tour on another day with Mateo. So efficient and completely worth it!!!
We met our guide Davor and he was easy to spot. He was immediately friendly and welcoming. Joking with the small group. We were lucky that we did not have to put the ear plugs in. The tour itself was great. Historical knowledge thrown in with cool GOT facts as well as some other productions done in the city. Having the local stories was fun to hear. Favor made sure we had plenty of stops for water amd the toilet which was needed as the heat was punishing. There was quite a few stairs that were quite a challenge but we had plenty of time to rest after them and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The pace was perfect. Myself and 2 friends really enjoyed the whole trip, we giggled the whole way round. Finally the trip over to Lokrum was really enjoyable. We finished there with a nice ice cream and enjoyed some free time on the island. Recommended 👍
My boyfriend and I booked this tour being big Game of Thrones fans. We showed up a few minutes before the tour started, but weren’t sure who or where our guide was since we were only given a location and many tour groups were meeting there. We went into the tour services office which they helped us quickly. Once we found our host he made a few jokes about us being late which we brushed off. We toured the Blackwater Bay which was beautiful and then headed to the Fort. We didn’t know until getting to the Fort that we would have to pay an additional 15€ beyond the ticket cost which was fine, but wish we knew in advance. After touring the Fort, we went back to the main plaza where we started and our guide told us to stop to get ice cream and beers. He said that we would have 15 minutes and when we came back from ice cream 5 minutes later he and our whole group was gone. We looked around for the next 10 minutes and they were no where to be found. We went back to the tour services office and they called the guide’s boss who said to meet at the port in 10 minutes. We walked to the port and ended up finding our group 5 minutes later. We had purchased the additional Lokrum tour and yet again had to pay another fee that wasn’t included in the ticket. Luckily we’re both students so it was only 10€, but normally it’s 30€ per person. Yet again wish this was disclosed ahead of time. Overall the tour showed beautiful history and nature but the guide didn’t add enough to the experience to make the price worth it. Next time we will probably just explore the sights on our own. The guide Davor was nice, but the tour was a bit chaotic for us and he didn’t give much detailed information.
Hi Sterlin Reyes from USA! Thanks for the review. It sounds like you expected a private royal escort through King’s Landing, but unfortunately, reality requires a little bit of personal accountability. Let’s look at the facts: The Invisible Balloon: I was the only human being at the meeting point holding a giant, bright purple balloon. If you showed up "a few minutes before," you wouldn't have missed the entire pre-tour briefing. I joked about you being late to keep things light, but let’s be real—you were late. Reading is a Useful Skill: The entrance fees for the Fort and Lokrum Island are explicitly stated in bold print right in the tour description. I’m glad your student IDs saved you some money, but perhaps you could have used that university education to read the details before booking? The Ice Cream Vanishing Act: You didn't "come back 5 minutes later." You vanished from the group in the middle of the tour to grab snacks without uttering a single word to me. I am a tour guide, not a babysitter. When guests wander off without telling anyone, the group moves on. Shockingly, the world does not pause for ice cream. If the tour felt "chaotic," it’s because you created your own chaos by arriving late, ignoring the description, and wandering away. Exploring on your own next time sounds like a fantastic idea for everyone involved. Best regards, Davor
Great to see these spots which we may have missed had they not been pointed out to us. The trip felt like good value for money but the add ons made this much more expensive. €15 each to enter some sites. €30 each for the boat to Lokrum. Whilst we appreciate lokrum was optional, you’d regret not seeing this. I’d advise doing lokrum solo and making a day of it. The tour guide was pleasant, with a cheeky sense of humour.
Meet up instructions easy to follow and at a central city location. Tour in English and Spanish. Our local guide Alex was friendly, fun, full of Game of Thrones stories and we visited places we wouldn't have if by ourselves. We added tour to Lokrum Island too and sat on the iron Thrones there which was cool. Huge thanks to Alex, lovely lady. We highly recommend those tour!
Absolutely incredible Game of Thrones tour. The tour guide Davor was incredible, funny and very informative. An absolute 10 out of 10 tour.
I haven't seen GOT since last season wich I think was 2018 so I watched again to remember and I'm glad I did. Alex did a superb job in relaying specific detailed information. She definitely knew her stuff. I loved how we got to see so many scenes from several seasons and the actual site of where the scenes were shot in addition to how much CGI was used. Would certainly recommend this excursion and keep in mind you will be putting in the steps. There are plenty of stairs to climb!!! Also loved that we got to take a photo seating in the infamous chair although it was just a replica.
DO NOT BOOK with this company. They do not mentioned that you must take a public bus, taxi or walk 45 mins to 1 hour to get to the meeting point in the city center if you arrived by cruise ship because they do not provided that transportation. Will not recommend. Their customer service is the worst once they get your money, you're lost.
Dear Yaitzam, We are sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties reaching the meeting point. However, we would like to clarify that we offer walking tours only. Transportation, hotel pickup, and drop-off are not included, as clearly stated in the tour description. Our guests arrive from many different locations, including hotels and apartments in Dubrovnik, cruise ships, and surrounding areas. For this reason, each guest is responsible for arranging their own transportation to the designated meeting point. Whenever a guest contacts us in advance to ask for directions or advice on how to reach the meeting point, we are always happy to assist. We understand that travel arrangements can sometimes become complicated, but normally it takes approximately 10–15 minutes by Uber, taxi, shuttle, or public transportation to get from the port to our meeting point. The transportation issues described in your review were outside the scope of the tour and the services booked. We regret that this affected your overall experience, but we believe it is important to distinguish between the guided tour itself and the guest’s personal arrangements for reaching the meeting point. Best regards!
