Funny tour and wonderful guide. We ate at local places, played pachinko and saw areas that, as a tourist, we would not have known. Super recommended!
I really enjoyed my tour with Aling. She was very detailed and she taught me how to play Pachinko! Which is what I really wanted. (: Would recommend to any traveler like me wanting to learn about Shinjuku!
This tour was great! Zen was incredibly knowledgeable about the areas we visited. He also took many photos of my wife and I so we could remember this trip. It was great to have help learning to play Pachinko. I definitely recommend this tour!
The tour company did a great job of communicating with us. We were late for our tour, but she waited for us even in the rain..
Just know that this is really an adult activity and not for participants under 18 years old. We bought tickets (2 adults 1 child (teen)) and were told upon greeting that the games are for over 18 and he couldn’t even go into the arcade. So, that left us to make other suggestions of arcades and gaming places he could participate. Our guide Aling was very nice and tried to accommodate us. I think the experience provider should be more explicit in the experience description.
I had a very good experience with Zen! Super helpful and fun to be around. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to experience Shinjuko at night! He even give me a bag with goodies and got a plush for me on the machines :)
He gave us a detailed presentation of how to play pachinko, and walked us through it step by step. He was encouraging and helpful, and makes the whole experience less overwhelming and enjoyable. Recommended
The guide was such a nice person and kind hearted, she knows so much about Japan. I had a lot of fun walking around Shinjuku and learning about Tokyo! I hope life treats her the same way she treated me because she deserves it! Definetly recommend 100%
Our guide, Zen, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Went through alleys and side streets that were out of this world, filled with dimly lit lanterns and packed with tiny restaurants that could barely fit 5 people. They were almost all full.
Had great experience on this trip ! The tour guide was very informational and learned how to pray at shrine. Also the food recommended is very local which did really feel the subculture of japan
