Joe greeted us enthusiastically at the cruise terminal and gave us lots of information about Seoul as we drove in from Incheon. He covered all of the items that were on our itinerary and even added an extra trip to a viewpoint to view Seoul as we had such a beautiful day. In addition to guiding us through many of the sites, he was able to answer all the questions we had about every day, life and culture in Korea. He took us for a delicious lunch at a small family owned restaurant where there were no tourists. He knew where to be and when and even managed to get us to the front of the line for photos with the soldiers after the changing of the guard. Thanks Joe for a great day.
Joe was awesome and was very knowledgeable she helpful. Tour company This is Korea is very good and responsive. I will highly recommend this tour and my guide.
Joe was an amazing guide for our last day in Seoul. Since we had already stayed in various parts of the city and explored some things before this day he was great at suggesting some different places we hadn't been to yet. He was really knowledgeable about the history of Korea at the palace and took care of all of our ticketing needs at the entrances to everywhere. He was really prompt and even got us snacks while we explored and he waited for us. I would highly recommend his tour for anyone who wants a fun day of shopping and eating in Seoul. And of course the river cruise was a neat way to experience the city as well.

Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Seoul and South Korean history as Joe tailors the experience to your pace, ensuring every moment is captivating. Even if the day begins with a drizzle, Joe’s infectious enthusiasm will turn it into a spectacular journey!
We had an amazing time with Joe during our visit to Seoul! We toured with him for a total of three days and loved every minute of it. Joe is definitely one of the kindest and most compassionate tour guides we have ever had. From running to the front of the line to get us a photo at Gyeongbokgung Palace to bringing us to a local Jajangmyeon spot that we loved (and secretly paying the bill!), he made our time truly memorable and fun. I would highly recommend This is Korea Tours to anyone visiting Seoul. We will definitely have to book another tour if we are ever in Seoul again.
the tour was really bad, the guide JOE was more like a decorative accessory rather than a tour guide, we were picked up and drop off at the different locations with Joe not even coming out of the van, no explanation, no insight no nothing, just a driver. also the tour advertise things that they don't end up including like Korean chicken -they won't pay for it-, and the cruise in the han river -its the picture of the listing- they'd extra charge you if you're planning on doing what they said is included. overall do not take this if you want a guide in the city and a complete experience with what's advertised
I'm sorry your guide didn't satisfy you that day. We will use your review as a reference to help us improve our company. However, I want to point out that the Viator tour description states that entrance fees and meals are not included in the tour. I think you misunderstood that part. In any case, we will strive to make the next tour even better.
It was a really nice experience! Joe was a great host even though we were 13 people not very punctual haha (sorry for that). We had fun, we enjoyed every single stop we had. At the end we share a nice dinner (corean bbq) all together. Thanks for everything
We had a wonderful private tour of Seoul with our guide Joe!! He was very knowledgeable of all the areas that we visited and knew where to go to get the best views. We started off our day viewing the changing of the guard ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace and we toured the palace grounds as Joe explained the history behind each area. Next, the young people in our group rented hanboks and we toured Bukchon Hanok Village taking many beautiful pictures. Afterwards, it was off to a delicious lunch at a Korean noodle restaurant. We then went to Namsan Tower and took in the panoramic views of the city. Next, we went to Insadong where we took a leisurely stroll through the many shops in the area. Our last stop, was Namdaemun Market where we bought some gifts and souvenirs. Finally, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at a Korean bbq pork restaurant that Joe found for us and made reservations for us. Joe made everything very easy for us and took many great pictures of our group. We made many beautiful memories of our trip to Seoul on our tour.
We loved the Tour in Seoul, Joe was great, he took very nice pictures, very friendly, very patient, gave us time in each place and if we waited longer he waited for us patiently, helped us in everything, and took some wheelchairs for my mom and left us at the entrance of each place, we didn't have to walk so much, Joe is excellent guide!!
He had Joe as our tour guide. He took us to the places that were set in the schedule and even suggested few more places and tour us there since qe had more time to go. The tour was great and Joe qas amazing.
