Exploraremos la historia del pueblo judío en Argentina, desde su época colonial hasta la modernidad. Mientras navegamos por la historia de más de 200.000 colectivos, exploraremos los barrios de Once, Tribunales y Retiro. Iremos más allá de la tradición religiosa mientras exploramos cómo la política y la amplia historia de Argentina moldearon y convirtieron a su población judía en lo que es hoy. A lo largo de nuestro recorrido lleno de acción, veremos a AMIA, conocida como "la institución madre" de la vida judía en Argentina, que fue blanco de un ataque terrorista en los años 90, y visitaremos el Museo Judío y la Sinagoga Libertad. Exploraremos Once, un barrio judío y un distrito comercial a granel, paseando por sinagogas, tiendas de artículos para fiestas de quinceañeras y vendedores de telas. Iremos a lo que llamamos "Rincón de la diversidad": un lugar donde con solo estar de pie 5 minutos, serás testigo de toda la diversidad que BA puede mostrar. ¡Recuerde traer su pasaporte original y zapatos cómodos ya que caminaremos más de 4 kilómetros!

Encuéntrenos en la puerta de entrada a Once, el barrio judío más importante de Argentina. Aquí hablaremos sobre los orígenes coloniales de los judíos argentinos y veremos algunos murales espectaculares en honor a los médicos y socorristas que atendieron a las víctimas del ataque terrorista que afectó a la institución judía más importante de la zona.
La institución judía más importante que fue blanco de un ataque terrorista en la década de 1990 solo para ser reconstruida más fuerte que nunca. Discutiremos este triste episodio y echaremos un vistazo a la impresionante obra de arte conmemorativa.
Explore el barrio judío más importante de América del Sur, con sus distritos de comercio a granel y de ropa, tiendas de quinceañeras, restaurantes kosher, sinagogas y shuls. Veremos el "rincón de la diversidad", caminaremos hacia el área ortodoxa e incluso veremos tiendas de teléfonos kosher.
Visitaremos el Museo Judío donde discutiremos sobre la gran inmigración de fines del siglo XIX.

Guide was nice but didn't feel she delved into history of Jews as much as I would've like. But did provide other general background info on Argentina, not specific to Jewish settlement and life

We did get informed abt bringing a passport via text, or regular email so missed part of the experience.:( Leader was not well organized and did not seem professional. Seemed sweet but not a great resource. We have taken a Jewish tours elsewhere and leaders seemed more mature and informed.
The guide for this tour was Melanie, who has consistently earned over 30 5 star reviews in the last year for her outstanding tours. Unfortunately, this guest did not bring their passport (after we messaged them about it two different times), left the tour early, and then proceeded to request a refund on the grounds of the guides' shirt having creases (!). After we denied the request for a refund, this guest left a 2 star review - the lowest this tour has ever gotten, on any platform. Please make of this what you will - we stand by our team in this case.

Be prepared to walk 4 miles. It is an interesting and historical tour. We really liked it. Cande was our tour guide and was able to tell us her family history in Argentina as well.

The tour guide Candela was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was very interesting and illuminating as to the rich Jewish history in Buenos Aires, both the good and the sad. Be prepared to be on your feet for a few hours. Highly recommend this tour.
