Itinerario
Como en toda buena historia, todo comienza con una introducción. No es fácil contar la historia de una de las ciudades históricamente más ricas del mundo. Sin embargo, nuestro objetivo es dar a nuestros huéspedes una perspectiva más amplia. Es por eso que, al comienzo de la gira, ofrecemos una lección concisa sobre la creación de la civilización humana, y luego colocamos la civilización griega antigua —y Atenas en particular— dentro de ese marco, para que la gente pueda entender realmente su importancia y contribución.
El primer monumento que veremos en nuestro camino hacia la Acrópolis es el Teatro de Dionisio, el primer teatro en la historia de la humanidad. Aquí es donde nació el teatro y el drama como práctica, y donde las primeras obras —tragedias y comedias— se representaron frente al público ateniense. Estas obras fueron escritas por algunos de los escritores más famosos de todos los tiempos, incluyendo a Sófocles, Eurípides y Esquilo.
Nuestra siguiente parada será el Odeón de Herodes Ático, que fue construido por el benefactor y famoso filósofo de la ciudad del siglo II d.C. en memoria de su esposa fallecida.
Al llegar a la entrada principal del santuario de la Acrópolis, veremos el Templo de Atenea Nike, dedicado a la diosa de la victoria.
A continuación, admiraremos la vista de las colinas circundantes históricamente importantes y subiremos por la escalera principal que conduce al interior del santuario, todo mientras contemplamos la monumental puerta de entrada de la Acrópolis.
Nuestra penúltima parada será el Erechtheion, el templo de los mitos y leyendas, situado en el centro del santuario de la Acrópolis y famoso por sus esculturas únicas.
Al final, finalmente admiraremos "la joya de la corona", el Partenón. Un regalo a la diosa patrona de Atenas, es la obra maestra de la arquitectura griega antigua del período clásico y el mayor logro técnico del estado democrático: el símbolo de la civilización occidental.
Después de haber analizado la Acrópolis, vamos a tener un breve descanso para tomar fotos durante 20 minutos. Después de eso, saldremos del sitio arqueológico de la Acrópolis y visitaremos el cerro Areópago donde tendremos el epílogo del recorrido con la vista del antiguo Ágora ateniense.

Our guide, Harris/Haralamoos, had multiple graduate degrees and was hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had. Harris/Haralampos was the most knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate tour guide I’ve ever had. He was so kind and enthusiastic about everything he spoke of, and left no stone unturned when explaining about the history of the Acropolis and the the various civilizations that influenced the architecture, history and culture in Athens and beyond. If you want the history of the Acropolis with a very passionate tour guide, this is the tour for you. He should be a History professor. If you want just a quick and easy tour this is not the tour for you. Be ready to learn a lot.
Our visit to the Acropolis was one of the highlights of our trip, and Harris made the experience exceptional. His knowledge of Greek history and mythology was outstanding, and he shared it in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way. If you learn best by walking the same grounds as remarkable figures during significant moments in history and want to understand the social, political and religious influences of that time, this tour fulfilled it. Harris was thorough and engaging and found ways to link us all to the past. He had impactful words of empowerment as well. He kindly and patiently took photos of groups at highlight areas and gives a generous amount of time. Our tour was over 3 hours. So let him know ahead of time if you need to leave at a certain time. We were grateful for this unique experience!

This is a very detailed and informative tour, our guide Haralanpos was very knowledgeable about history and we had lots of philosophical discussions on the way around. It is quite a long tour which may not suit everyone but great fir history buffs
