Great way to spend a couple of hours on the water exploring nature. Small group kayaking tour around several islands in the Niagara River. The Lilly pads had just started to bloom, lots of birds and ducks to see and interesting conversations with the local guide. Stopped at one of the islands for a snack, wading and swimming. Even a short class 1 rapids!! Enjoyable morning!
Loved our Guide, Paul’s, and his knowledge of the area, the ecosystem and the Wetlands restoration projects in the area. He even went a little over the time limit to accommodate some extra kayaking …. Beautiful scenery and excellent tour.
Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area and shared lots of information and history. We were appreciative that we were able to reschedule because the weather on Sunday was windy and a little rainy but Monday afternoon was picture perfect and made for a great experience. Thank you!
This is good experience tour. The tour guide was also very kind and nice. I was able to meet many natural animals
Desk was an awesome, knowledgeable guide! Everyone I dealt with at Blue Water Marina was so friendly and helpful! I even changed our original date and Dan helped with that. It was a breeze. Highly recommended this tour!!!
I’ve had such great experiences with Viator tours and this one is up there with my Sunset boat ride in Positano, Italy. We were a family of 4, kids age 10 and 12. We picked flowers off huge Lilly pads, watched a Great Blue Heron fly away majestically over tall grass marsh land, cornered a small island called Motor Island that had birds sitting atop tall trees. Parts of the tour were reminiscent of the scene in Little Mermaid “ Kiss The Girl” and two rides at Disneyland, Jungle and Pirates of The Caribbean. The history and conservation efforts to preserve the shore and Marshland were awesome and so appreciated. Come an hour early to have a quick bite at Casey’s down the street. 2 minute walk. Italian hot dog was delicious. Old school Pepsi vending machine made the perfect decoration for the spot. All staff at Blue Marina were friendly and helpful especially our tour guide Desi. He is knowledgeable about the area and gave helpful tips throughout. Although the tour was 3 hours we lasted 2 hours 40 minutes. I’m not an efficient kayaker so my shoulder and neck were getting sore. One of my kids had to go to the restroom. If it weren’t for those two setbacks we could have lasted another hour. Overall it was a great family experience. Highly recommend tour if you enjoy mild adventure, nature, wildlife, upper arm and core workouts, and local history.
Holy cow! This kayak tour was a blast! We learned SO much from our guide Desi about flora and fauna and the conservation efforts! Our mom went - she’s 76 with bad knees. This is a tour for anyone who wants to get up close and personal with what the area has to offer!
Sadly we were rained out, but they issued a full refund immediately. The communication was quick and friendly every time we spoke.
We traveled through the man made marsh areas and across the Niagara River. We stopped in a number of areas. Our guide, Desi, was knowledgeable about the wildlife and the facts and history of the area. You can get a real feel for the area on this trip.
The experience itself was nice but be aware that this price is very expensive and you could purchase it at a much lower price. Furthermore, we still paid for 3 despite us using only 2 boats (one of them is tandem) which is very unreasonable.
