The walk up to the Dikteon Cave (Zeus' Cave) on the Lasithi Plateau in Crete is approximately 1 kilometer (about 0.6 miles) from the parking lot. The hike and the cave visit involve the following key details: • Duration: The steep walk takes about 15 to 20 minutes each way. [Elevation & Path: You will climb about 120–150 meters in elevation. There are two trails: a slightly longer, uneven rocky trail, and a steeper, paved stone path. • Inside the Cave: Once you reach the entrance, there is an entrance fee and a descent of roughly 200 to 400 steep, often slippery steps leading into the bottom of the cave. • Alternative: If you have mobility issues, you can pay for a donkey ride to take you up the hill. I feel that needs to be noted up front!

We had a first class safari experience in the beautiful landscape of Crete, it was everything we hoped for and more: exhilarating, fun and informative. The gosafari team are all brilliant. Our driver Joseph was wonderful, making sure we were looked after from the time he picked us up at our apartment until the time he dropped us back off. The whole team engaged with us all making sure we had fun and enjoyment not just as a couple but as a group. The food was excellent. All there is to say is that if you are travelling to Crete, you must book a day trip with these guys. You won’t be disappointed!

Our driver, Iorgos was so chill and funny, and he provided so many information. All places where we went were very interesting, althought everything was kinda rushed. It should have taken 8h, but after 7h we were back at the hotel. At the goat pen we expected to taste different types of cheese, but we got a tomato slice, a cucumber and a tiny piece of cheese. The meal was ok and plenty along with water and wine, but we were asked if we want coffee that at the end we had to pay. Overall, it seemed nice on that day, but looking back, it was average at best
