Our tour guide was very insightful. A beautiful city. Loved the history of the film festival and the city itself.
Sarit provided a delightful and insightful walking tour of Cannes. It was fun hearing about her writing and tourism careers and how they are intersecting to make her a viable commodity at the Cannes Film Festival. It was also interesting hearing her insider perspective on the inner workings of the industry and how work gets done during the Festival. In addition to showing us the glamorous side of Cannes, Sarit also showed us and gave us a great history lesson about Old Cannes and then took us to some of her favorite shops. A note of caution, this tour requires extensive walking, sometimes uphill. So, you should plan accordingly. I definitely recommend Sarit and this tour if you want a solid orientation to Cannes.
It was a waste of time and money. A lot of walking without sharing information, and the tour guide more than once left part of the group behind, including me , as i just happened to see the group turning corner after we’d made a stop. Very poor.
Hi David, it was really nice meeting you and thank you for coming on my tour. I am really surprised by your review as you seemed to enjoy it, and everybody in the group enjoyed it and gave positive reviews. But of course, you are free to leave your opinion. I do remember you straggling behind taking photos etc. And then you missed the commentary and asked me to repeat it for you especially.... Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed the grand prix in Monaco :-)
This was a very enjoyable and thoughtful tour of Cannes. Our guide’s background as a screenwriter made the experience especially interesting for me, as I’m also a screenwriter, so we connected over cinema, storytelling, and the city’s film history. She shared a great mix of glamour, local history, and small details that made Cannes feel more personal. She also tailored parts of the tour to the group, including mentioning a Greek historical connection when she learned I was Greek, which I appreciated. The tour never felt rushed, and she was very considerate of someone in our group who had difficulty with stairs, adjusting the route so everyone could enjoy the experience comfortably. Helpful, engaging, and very warm.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about both the city of Cannes including Napolean landing and the Film Festival .
Sarit was so interesting and informative. A very enjoyable tour taking us to the old part of Cannes as well as the busy centre. Extremely well worth the time.
Great time with Sarit. You will learn about the history of Cannes, the film festival and know your way around the city when you are done. Sarit is knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed our tour.
We loved this tour! We were slightly worried about the length of the tour but we needn't have worried, it flew by as we enjoyed it so much! The mixture of film history and Cannes Film Festival and hidden markets, restaurants and beautiful spots was perfect. Would highly recommend! We even got to taste some local delicacies and ordered the rose with dinner that had been recommended!
We had an amazing time on this tour with the best tour guide we've ever had. Highly recommend! Interesting history, amazing views and pictures, fun food tastings! Best way to experience Cannes.
We had an amazing time on the History, Glamour & Cinema guided tour in Cannes with Sarit! With the Cannes Film Festival just around the corner, it made the experience even more special. As a screenwriter, she brought such a unique and engaging perspective—knowledgeable, fun, and full of great stories. She made the history come alive and was always happy to answer questions. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Cannes! Thank you, Sarit! We’ll be looking out for your book soon. Geri & Bill
