This was a great adventure tour in such a beautiful location— I went on the tour with my partner and we both had a fantastic time. First, this is NOT glamping. We set up our accommodations— a tent and comfortable sleeping pad. We stayed at 3 different camp sites with varying facilities and they were all great. The guides prepared all of our meals and ferried us around in a comfortable van (ok so maybe it’s a little like glamping). Second, the schedule for each day was discussed the night prior and there was the opportunity to do a lot or very little. We did all of the available hikes and though the difficulty level seemed harder than we expected, we still enjoyed the hiking part of the adventure the most. Third, there are excursions in Tofino— we opted for sea kayaking and loved it. Most of our fellow travelers did surf lessons and were happy with that. Finally, our guides Hubert and Catherine were an absolute pleasure. They prepared really delicious meals, were great hiking guides and fun to talk to. I definitely appreciate that they managed 12 guests with differing expectations. This isn’t a tour that crams every last activity in. Fresh Adventures requires some flexibility on the part of the participants— plans change and at least once we were deposited on a beach for 3.5 hours to just chill while we waited for the others to finish their excursion. I would definitely recommend this tour company and would travel with them again.

Such a fantastic trip! We took amazing hikes through gorgeous rainforests, surfed, went tide pooling, or just relaxed on beautiful beaches, and climbed up to be wowed by stunning vistas. Our guides, Hubert and Catherine, were fabulous: organized, knowledgeable, eager to show us everything, super friendly, and always fun. They are also excellent cooks, and served us delicious food in our camp, including poke bowls with fresh tuna, and risotto! Such a fun, exhilarating week on Vancouver Island! I highly recommend this Fresh Adventures trip!

Hubert and Catherine were fabulous guides, both at the actual guiding, and at setting a fun tone with their sunny personalities. They really made the whole trip a delight. (Particularly enjoyed the singing) Victoria is a real jewel, with, IMHO, Tofino being the highlight. Hot springs, primeval forests, bears, beaches, otters, etc. Wow.

I just returned from the 6 night Vancouver Island camping trip. Hubert and Catherine are excellent guides. They are committed to helping the group have the time of their lives. Being an inexperienced camper and hiker definitely was challenging but they and the rest of the group were so helpful and I learned a lot about camping and myself this week. But pack wisely although they take your suitcase in the trailer you need to make sure you can get it to your tent yourself! i liked having my own pillow so my suitcase was huge!
