We use guides a lot and can say that Rachel is top-notch. What stands out with Rachel is her commitment to providing a tour that appeals to individual clients - it's not regimented. She gages your interests early and adjusts; our tour ended up being as much cultural as cuisine. It was a very enriching tour and she's a very likable person.
Michael, thank you very much for your kind review. It's my pleasure to be your local food host, and I’m especially happy to know that you appreciated the mix of food tastings, cultural context and a more personalised experience. I had a terrific time introducing you and your family to Singapore’s culture through food in Chinatown and Little India. Thank you as well for the laughs and wonderful company - it was a joy hosting all of you! Hope to welcome the family back to Singapore again in the future. Warmest regards, Rachel
We had 4 excellent days of touring with Culture Curious Singapore Tours … starting with an outstanding architectural tour which doubled as a great introduction to Singapore followed by a wonderful food tour, a cultural neighborhood tour, and finally a tour centered on WW II history in Singapore. We have had *many* tours around the world and I can say with confidence that these were some of the best. Not only are Rachel, Kelvin and Chris highly knowledgeable, they went above and beyond taking care of us with tips, links, taxi help, and much much more. We felt completely welcomed and comfortable with all of them, so not only did we learn what we came for, but we chatted about anything else that came up … from how real Singaporeans afford to live, to wedding customs, to durian tasting, to public transportation and so much more!!! Consummate professionals, Rachel and co personified gracious hospitality and joy in sharing their city and country with us. We would highly recommend Culture Curious to anyone.
Hi Ellen. Thank you for your heartfelt review. As a small team of Singaporean guides, our goal is to help guests experience the "Real Singapore" through a variety of topics and perspectives. And of course, food is an important part of that story! We deeply appreciate you taking the time to share your experience on our Food Tour in Chinatown and Little India and are happy that you enjoyed the curated tastings and the opportunity to learn about the cultures and traditions that have shaped Singapore's multicultural heritage. Thanks again for booking with us and we hope you'll be back for more of your favourite thosai in the near future. (: Warmest regards, Rachel
The perfect way to familiarize yourself with the variety of cultures and exotic flavors which coexist within Singapore. Our guide Rachel was very engaging and knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history and traditions of Singapore. It was nice to "eat like a local" and visit the less touristy spots. Definitely recommended.

Communication with the organiser, Rachel, was excellent, very timely and really helpful. Our guide Swee Lin ensured we had plenty to eat and gave us an in depth and very comprehensive history regarding Singapore adding personal touches regarding her own families background and also how modern Singapore compares to the past and how it has changed

We are glad to hear you found the communication helpful and that Swee Lin made the experience both enjoyable and insightful. Rachel was amazing - so knowledgeable and made sure we only ate the best food! In the end, we were so full that we had to put up the flag of defeat! Never happened to me before!!! Rachel was a 10 out of 10 as a guide…highly recommended!
Amanda, thank you for such a lovely review. Am delighted to hear you enjoyed the experience! The aim of the food tour is to showcase a selection of street food that reflects Singapore’s vibrant mix of cultures, so we’re especially glad you and Nicole got to experience that (and then some!). The selection of foods—including a few Michelin-listed tastings alongside popular local eateries - is designed to give you a hyperlocal insight into our street food heritage. It's our pleasure showing your party around and sharing some of our favourite local eats. We hope you’ll be back for round two, and would be very delighted to host you again! Warmest regards, Rachel
