I was disappointed with this tour. It was quite expensive, so I had reasonably high expectations. Sunny, the guide, was very nice, but didn't seem familiar with the tour, and didn't have much information to offer. We started by walking over a kilometre the wrong way before having to return to go in the right direction. We had a pretty good lunch and then some interesting medicinal tea and jelly, but that was it for the food. I was expecting 5-8 food stops, not 2. To be fair, she did ask if I wanted a pear (something I grew up eating in Canada) or some rice jelly (which I had had the day before and wasn't interested in after the medicinal jelly). Overall she seemed less of a guide and more of a person following me around asking if I'd like to see something. I kept telling her that I just wanted to take the tour. I shouldn't feel responsible for leading the tour. It wasn't an unpleasant afternoon in the end, but not anything I'd pay money for.

We regret to hear about the issues you encountered, particularly with the inconvenience caused by the initial misdirection and for the lack of detailed information provided by the guide. Excellent food tour experience with our tour guide, Mango. We are completely satisfied with the service provided. She made our trip an unforgettable experience.
That is great to read your review about this foodie tour in Guangzhou. Thank you for travelling with us.
This was a wonderful tour. I live in Guangzhou and had been in many adventures but Ben took me to many I hadn’t been to and told me the history. He catered the tour to my interests — I wanted to go to a tea place too. It was Golden Week so we even went in to a lovely temple. I had a wonderful time and look forward to more future tours.
Thank you so much for travelling with us! Guangzhou is a fantastic city where there are many things to explore. Enjoy your stay in Guangzhou.
Delicious and delicate. The food in Guangzhou is the best. The old town is worth visiting if you want to know history and cultures of Guangzhou. Travelling in Guangzhou is not so difficult except for some language problems until recently the GZ government has had an interpretation hotline(+8620960169), which can provide great service for public affairs and government services. I used several times taking taxi and asking for directions, the interpreters are quite professional.
