Tom was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and made our family experience truly special. We were in NYC celebrating our daughter’s birthday and booked the food tour at the last minute, but Tom’s thoughtful check‑ins and perfect timing made everything feel seamless. To top off the afternoon, he even played a birthday wish on a special instrument — such a memorable touch. Even though we only spent a few hours together, it felt like we made a new friend. The food choices were fantastic. One daughter is already searching for those dumplings, the pizza was excellent, the cheeses were top‑shelf, and the cannoli were spot‑on. If we make it back to NYC, we’ll be back for another tour. Thanks again to Tom for helping create a wonderful family memory.
Thank you for your long and thoughtful review! It was great meeting you and it was my pleasure to surprise you all with the melodica and Happy Birthday! Your daughters have good taste in food and music! Please come back again! Tom
We had a fantastic food tour of NYC's Little Italy and Chinatown with Tom! Our family of four (including kids ages 11 and 13) really enjoyed all of the delicious food. We had sponge cakes with Thai tea, dumplings, a cheese shop stop, some of the best pizza we've ever had, and finished off with cannolis. Tom made the tour even better with his knowledge of the neighborhoods, sharing interesting history and stories along the way. He was engaging, friendly, and made the experience truly enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour with Tom if you're looking for a fun and delicious way to experience Chinatown and Little Italy!
Hi. Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you all enjoyed the tour. My goal is to make the time feel like it's gone by quickly, while enjoying great food and company. Cheers and hope to see you all again.
Excellent food tour. Tom is very knowledgeable about the area. The food was great. Tom even played happy birthday to a member of our group on his melodica at the end. Very nice touch.
Hi! It was a pleasure having you on the tour. And I’m always happy to chime in with a little music when there’s a birthday. Thank you for the kind review and I hope to see you back in New York City.😁
The mom and pop food tour was one of the highlights of our time in NYC. Tom is an absolute star and trying his local hidden favorites was amazing the food was some of the best we have ever had. Tom also shared lots of inside tips, local stories and neighborhood history that made this feel like much more than a good tour. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to see the city with tom in the future.

Tom took us on an incredible food tour of Chinatown/little Italy. My fiance and I have lived in NYC for 5 and 7 years and yet we still learned so much and got to try spots we had never been. I highly recommend whether you’re a visitor or local looking to learn more about the history of NYC and try some iconic longstanding spots!
Hi. Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m always really happy when I can show New Yorkers, unique places they didn’t know about! And also tell them about the Chinatown and Little Italy history. It was great meeting you guys and I thoroughly enjoyed our time😊
Great tour. Tom is a great guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and has a personal friendship with the business owners and employees. The food was excellent and portions were generous.
Thank you for your kind words! I’m so glad the family enjoyed seeing Chinatown and little Italy and the same thing wonderful food😊
Cult2Culture is one of the finest food tour experiences I've ever had. Tom is a friendly, knowledgeable host who keeps his tour groups small making the tour feel intimate and personal. The tour lasts a little over two hours and takes you to several wonderful spots in the neighborhood. You get a real feel for the area's history and character. The food was outstanding, some of the best I've ever had on a food tour. If you are looking for a great food tour you can't go wrong with Cult2Culture and if you are lucky, Tom might even play a tune to two on the Melodica!
Thank you for coming. I had so much fun showing you around. And I’m glad you liked hearing a little tune. 10 times it’s the perfect way to end a tour!
Very informative and fun tour of Chinatown and Little Italy. We went to a couple of places we wouldn’t have tried on our own as well as a famous one. Delicious food and a very fun way to spend a few hours in NYC.
Thanks for spending time with us. It is always good to hear comments on the food and on places that one normally wouldn’t stop by. These are the hidden gems!
This is the second tour I’ve booked with Tom. He is DEPENDABLE, informative, socially engaged, energetic, and goes over and beyond the tour’s description to ensure his guests have a great time. His tour is FUN and worth every penny. We’ll visit Tom for more NYC tips every time we vacation in NYC!
Hi! Thank you for the kind words. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the tour and most importantly had fun. Please do visit again when you’re in New York City. I’m going to be adding some more tours too. All good things 😊
I highly recommend Tom and this Tour. He has a deep and authentic knowledge of NYC and shares it in a relatable way. His conversational style of educating his guests makes it easy to remember the information that he shares. He is also clearly deeply connected to the shop owners that participate in his tour, treating them all with love and respect.
Hi. Sorry for the late reply. It was really great having you on the tour and I appreciate your enjoyment of the shop owners who really make the neighborhood and the tour what it is.
