La Basílica de San Nicolás es un importante destino de peregrinación tanto para los católicos romanos como para los cristianos ortodoxos y una de las atracciones más importantes.
La catedral es la sede del arzobispo de Bari-Bitonto, dedicada a San Sabino, obispo de Canosa, cuyas reliquias fueron traídas aquí en el siglo IX. Aquí apreciará las murallas romanas subterráneas llamadas Succorpo.
El castillo normando-swebiano alberga la colección de moldes de yeso y exposiciones temporales de arte.
La plaza siempre ha representado el corazón de las actividades comerciales y administrativas de la ciudad debido a la presencia del mercado de la ciudad (actualmente no en esta zona) y del palacio Sedile, que es el punto de referencia histórico del Ayuntamiento de Bari. The rickshaw street food tour of Bari with Anna was excellent. She was energetic, knowledgeable and her english excellent! Her tour went well beyond just the food and she told us some fascinating stories about places along the way. Highly recommend the tour! (Unfortunately after the tour, my husband and I realized we didnt tip her and I felt horrible. I've tried to contact Velo service several times to get contact information for her to rectify this embarrassing oversight! No response yet)
