Our guide, Assunta, was so kind and explained so much. She even made it a point to get us as close to important artworks as possible giving us a truly special experience.
Luisa was amazing, I’d give this 6 tour stars if I could but there are only 5. Skipping the line was great, and we were able to get in very easily. She also had access to the lifts! The Vatican museum itself is very large, and there’s no way we could make sense of everything on our own, so her perspective was much needed and appreciated! We all learned so much, even our 7 year old. She even got to know a few facts about our family and was able to connect something about each member to the tour. Highly recommend!!
Claudia C did amazing and explained everything so well. She also made sure we stopped in the shade as much as possible
An excellent tour. Just the right amount of time to sample the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and Basilica without being bogged down. Even at the peak of high season and on a 35C day,, the early start meant that it was not too crowded or too hot to enjoy the experience. The tour appealed to our teenage boys and my own interest in history and politics. Bruno, our guide, was compelling and patient. You will need to budget extra to climb the dome of the basilica.
Perfect Vatican visit, the Wednesday early morning Sistine Chapel tour gets you in just ahead of the crowd. We made it through the museum key important pieces with plenty of space to ourselves and to Sistine Chapel before it was overtaken by the crowds! Our guide, Carlotta was knowledgeable, brought good energy, and knows the Vatican ins/outs. We had a great time and the tour was worth every penny!
This is a must do tour in Rome. Fabrizio was an as amazing guide. Detailed explanations of the history.
Our guide Luciana was the best! Her wealth of knowledge and information was impressive. She was so motherly to my girls!
Great early morning tour. Monica was great! Very knowledgeable and we learned so much. We started in the museum, then the chapel and ended in the basilica. She was extremely helpful in telling us what to focus on and where to be to make sure we didn’t get lost after the Sistene chapel. We’ve been on a few guided tours and she is definitely one of the best!
Massimo was so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us several hidden gems that we would not have known about otherwise! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again!
We recently took the Express Early Morning Sistine Chapel tour with LivTours and had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Caterina, was fantastic—she had a great pace and incredible knowledge, providing deep insights into the Vatican without ever feeling overwhelming. It was the perfect balance of information and time to take everything in. As a family of 4 with two teen boys, we were concerned about keeping them engaged, but Caterina managed it effortlessly. The semi-private, small group size was a huge plus; there was only one other family on our tour, which allowed for easy interaction and a very personalized feel. We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
