Descubra el encanto de Hyderabad en un recorrido de 4 horas por su histórica ciudad vieja. Comience en el emblemático lago Hussain Sagar, hogar de la estatua de Buda monolítica más grande del mundo, y pase por el Parque Lumbini, Birla Temple Hills y la Asamblea Legislativa Estatal. Hussain Sagar es un lago en forma de corazón construido por Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah en 1563 AD que ocupa 5,7 kilómetros cuadrados y es alimentado por el río Musi. Una gran estatua monolítica del Buda Gautama, erigida en 1992, se encuentra en la roca de Gibraltar en el medio del lago. También separa el centro de la ciudad de Hyderabad de su vecindario Secunderabad. La profundidad máxima del lago es de 32 pies.
Lumbini Park es un pequeño parque público urbano de 7.5 acres adyacente a Hussain Sagar, llamado así por Lumbini de Nepal dedicado al Señor Buda.
La estatua de granito monolítico más grande del mundo del Señor Buda fue erigida en 985, a 58 pies (18 m) y pesaba 350 toneladas, en el "Peñón de Gibraltar en el medio de Hussain Sagar". Esta estatua se encuentra en el parque Lumbini en la isla Hussain Sagar, se puede llegar en barco en 15 minutos.
Birla Mandir es un templo hindú, construido sobre un montículo de 280 pies (85 m) de altura llamado Naubath Pahad en una parcela de 13 acres. El templo fue construido por la Fundación Birla, que también ha construido varios templos similares en toda la India, todos los cuales se conocen como Birla Mandir.
El Edificio de la Asamblea Legislativa del estado de Telangana, fue construido en 1905 para conmemorar el 40 cumpleaños del sexto Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali Khan del estado de Hyderabad. En esta franja comercial de 1 kilómetro (0.62 millas) de largo, la mayoría de las tiendas venden brazaletes, saris, artículos relacionados con bodas y joyas de imitación.
Las tumbas pertenecientes a la nobleza de la familia Paigah, que eran feroces leales a los nizam, sirvieron como estadistas, filántropos y generales debajo y junto a ellos.

We Had an amazing half-day Old City experience! Everything was well organized, and the guide Mr Srinu shared fascinating stories about the history and culture. We explored iconic landmarks, enjoyed delicious local food, and got great recommendations for shopping. Excellent trip, Srinu was very knowledgeable and the tour was extremely interesting. It is impossible to get the same information from the Web as it is delivered first hand. Great to visit the tombs and escape the hustle and bustle. The chai tea and cookies were a particular highlight before going to the old city....a great mix of sights. Mr Munner the driver was also very kind. I would recommend highly.

Great experience. First trip to Hyderabad for work. Let me say this: If you want to truly understand Hyderabad’s layered past, book a tour with Anand immediately. Our day together was a deep dive into the city’s extraordinary Qutb Shahi and Nizam dynastic heritage, and Anand’s knowledge at every stop was genuinely impressive. The Makkah Masjid alone was worth the entire trip — Anand explained how its massive stones were interlocked without the use of lime plaster, a construction feat that left me speechless. He brought the same depth to the Charminar and the Ashurkhana, weaving together architectural detail, theological history, and lived local context in a way no guidebook could replicate. The Laad Bazaar was an experience in itself — a vibrant tangle of bangles, spices, and vendors — and having Anand alongside to guide negotiations in a market without fixed pricing was absolutely essential. He consistently ensured fair exchanges without ever making the process feel transactional or rushed. The city itself is dynamic and alive, with the Sunday markets buzzing even amid some of the logistical challenges you see in the region right now.
