Enjoyed learning about Hun nomadic traditional customs and history. Had a good variety in activities from traditional food, dress, marriage ritual, yurt information, horse/acrobat show, and archery. If you want to ride a horse after their show do so before going to the buffet lunch. After the buffet lunch walk down to the open field behind the yurts to try archery. They have a small souvenir shop. Pick up and drop off was at certain designated locations. I downloaded the app and used Yandex car service (like Uber) to get to the pick up location, and they were kind enough to drop me off at my hotel about a mile away. Almaty is a modern city and I'm glad I did this excursion to learn some history about the nomadic people.
Great tour at Hunns Ethno Village! The horse show was fun, the food was good, and our guide Sherzhan was very nice! ❤️❤️❤️
We had a wonderful time on this tour! We learned a lot about Kazakh history and culture. The presentations and horse show were incredible! We LOVED our guide Luba, she did an amazing job telling us about Kazakhstan and making sure we got the best spots while on the tour. Her English was fantastic! So glad we did this!
We had a wonderful experience visiting the village and learning about the Kazakh culture and tasting their local cuisine. Our tour guide, Luba, was super friendly and nice, explained everything clearly and made the experience really good and comfortable! Also the transport was great!
This Ethno-Village Tour was definitely worth it. Kazakh Guided Tours is a reputable company, and they provided both a driver and a tour guide for this tour. I know some companies have the same person be the driver and the tour guide, but I prefer that my driver is fully focused on driving while the guide can focus on having a conversation with us. At the Village, the staff and performers were all very nice people. The drinks and food they provided were all delicious, and the performances were all good (especially the horseback riding performances). The lunch provided inside the traditional Yurt was also very delicious. I highly recommend this tour if you have about 7-8 hours to spare while you are in Almaty!
Our tour driver, Aman, was not only punctual but even arrived early. He was very attentive to our group, ensuring that we had a wonderful time at the Ethno Village. After dropping us off at the hotel, one of our friends realized she had misplaced her phone. I immediately called Aman to let him know it might have been left in the back seat. Within minutes, he returned to the hotel with the phone. We are grateful for his honesty and excellent service.
Had a great time, learned a lot about the culture and customs. Everything was organized very well. Our guide, Serj, was amazing. Highly recommended!
Wonderful and very interesting discovery of nomadic customs and habits in many areas. Welcoming in the warmest village. Guide (English) extremely friendly who answered all our questions. Welcoming buffet and excellent lunch. Beautiful songs. Not to mention our driver with quiet driving who was very attentive for us.
The day event was really nice. They food was really good, and the performances were insane especially the horse show. Aman, our guide, was amazing. He helped us a lot throughout the day and made sure we had a great time. Super chill and easy to talk to. We even had a friendly archery competition agaisnt each other. After the main show, the staff even gave us a quick crash course on horse riding and archery. It made the whole experience feel more interactive and fun. If you want to learn more about Kazakh culture and experience new things aswell as have a great time with friends or family, I’d definitely recommend this tour!
Great hospitality, also when we had a scheduling problem they gave us a private driver and he was great. Iman went above and beyond and gave us a great experience when going to the village and also inside.
