Las cataratas Cheonjeyeon, llamadas "El Estanque de Dios", constan de 3 secciones. Alrededor de las cataratas, una variedad de vida vegetal prospera, como las raras "solimnan". Mr. Kim (David) was a nice driver and brought us to where we wanted to visit. He patiently waited for us when we hiked and shopped. He spoke English well enough to answer any questions we had. The interactions with Jeju Lucas Travel were abrupt, money focused, and rude. First they increased the price from what Viator charged by $70,000 won ($56 usd), they changed the pick up time by 30 minutes, shortening our tour. When I asked why the time change, they indicated customs, which was not true . When I asked to clarify how to contact our driver, they had said email that I did not have, they never answered. Probably would have been cheaper to get a taxi at the cruise terminal, there were plenty of options available.
Mr. Kim was our guide the day we visited Jeju West. It was very comfortable in the small group van. We truly enjoyed the history, hospitality and planning provided by Mr. Kim. BTW, we had joined 10 different tours on this trip and Mr. Kim was the best driver and made the tour so much more enjoyable.
Overall the tour was good, however, the places that were mentioned in the itinerary were not possible to cover in the time allotted. So had to leave the tour midway to avoid paying overtime charges and that was pricey.
Was a good trip. our driver, mr. Ayaan Koh was very professional and competent. One example of this is at the end of the day when we had already visited 6 destinations (out of the promised 5), he said we still had time for 1 more and I found a place I wanted to go to last, and showed him my phone as we were on the highway going 70 km/hr, he recognized correctly that it was close by with the turnoff coming up soon, and made the detour without incident or complaint. So we got 7 destinations, pretty good deal.
