slow and ugly quad embarassing to ride and the tour guide was rude... the quad also broke down...
Hello, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Please note that the vehicle was rented for the duration of the tour only, and it was not sold. All our vehicles are regularly maintained, and safety is our top priority. We do not advertise extreme or dangerous tours, our rides are designed to be safe, enjoyable experiences for all participants. Occasionally, technical issues can happen with off-road vehicles, and our guides are trained to handle them promptly. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to improve our service.
from a 3 hour driving plan the driving itself is good if it is 1 hour, you have to drive more on asphalt than gravel road! Unfriendly staff, one of the instructors even raised his voice at my family :(
We booked a 3.5hr Quad tour via Tui and were collected from our Hotel on time with no issues - except for four other Guests who held the entire trip up and cost us time on the tour by being nearly 20mins late! The process for Quad allocation, helmet fitting and goggle collection felt rushed and chaotic. Staff didn’t effectively show anyone how to use the Quads or Buggy’s or conduct any sort of meaningful safety briefing - which is quite concerning considering the waiver you sign prior regarding usage and paying for any damage caused. They’d then get visibly annoyed mid trip when you couldn’t restart the Quad etc and asked for help - despite never being properly shown how to use it. We purchased bandanas on site for €5 each, which I’d recommend as they help with the heat and the dust en route. We stopped at three spots on the tour, with staff giving extremely limited information on each spot. It kind of seemed like they couldn’t be bothered to be there. The views were nice though on the stops, and there was time to grab a drink/toilet stop if need be. We didn’t book for the food, but had to go along and wait for other people on the trip to eat. This didn’t bother us overall, but did feel like time wasted when you hadn’t booked onto that part of the trip from the outset. Despite the above, the trip was good. The Quad was fun to drive/be passenger on, and it was a decent mix of on road and off road driving at different speeds. Staff were diligent in stopping traffic, guiding the way and intervening if someone was doing something wrong, I.e a Buggy going in front of a Quad which wasn’t allowed due to stone kickbacks etc - but again that probably hadn’t been explained so it wasn’t really the fault of the customers. I wouldn’t do this trip again, but I’m glad I’ve done it as it was a different experience.
Disappointing and Stressful Buggy Tour Experience We booked two buggies for a 3-hour tour, expecting a fun and relaxing adventure, but it fell short in several ways. The ride started well, with the first couple of stops (shipwreck and caves, merged into one) being enjoyable. However, the itinerary felt misleading. We were promised a 45-minute stop at Turtle Bay to relax, but we only got 25-30 minutes, which felt rushed, especially with kids. This included just 10-15 minutes to get down, 5-10 minutes in the water, and another 5 minutes drying off, leaving us scrambling back to the buggies for the lunch stop. Things took a turn for the worse as we set off towards for the lunch spot our buggy’s handbrake was on and the gear was into H which is for drive as explained it slipped into reverse and hit the buggy behind. The damage was minimal—a bent tow bar that could be pulled back into place and some plastic damage that looked previously repaired (melted plastic). Despite this, we were charged €100 for “labor,” which felt like a complete rip-off for such minor fixes. The ride back was uncomfortable, as we were anxious about the looming charge. To top it off, the drive back to our hotel was alarming. The female driver/instructor was reckless, speeding, trying to beat red lights, and making abrupt stops. With two children in the back, this felt incredibly unsafe and inappropriate. Overall, the rushed stops, questionable damage charge, and unsafe driving turned what should have been a fun day into a stressful disappointment. I’d urge the company to be transparent about stop durations, maintain their vehicles better, and ensure safer driving. We’re considering disputing the €100 charge and reporting the safety concerns. Avoid this tour unless these issues are addressed. Rating: 1/5
We had the best time on the 3 hour tour. Meeting point is not far from the Coral Bay Area and we were soon on our way! Stops are timed really well and 3 hours felt like just the right amount of time. Definitely take a bandana or snood like face covering and use the goggles provided for the off road section as it’s very dusty but a lot of fun! Best excursion I have ever been on so far
Hi there! Thank you for your fantastic review. We’re so happy you had the best time on the 3-hour tour. Thanks for the helpful tips for future guests too! We’re thrilled it was your best excursion so far and hope to see you again soon!
Great adventure knocking about on these little buggies - if there's two of you, then shoot for the covered buggy as opposed to the 2-seat quad bike, as you have to wear a helmet - in the heat we experienced, my head would've exploded!!!
Absolutely stunning and high octane, enjoyable buggy tour. Driving the buggy, especially off-road is a fab experience. Bandanas and Goggles are an absolutely must given the dusty track. Be prepared to get very dirty and so recommend wearing old clothes and covering valuables. The instructors/guides are very friendly and approachable. In our opinion, the stops at the various locations are too long - would prefer far more driving time and less time at the stops. Not very pragmatic to go for a swim at Lara Bay in 30 mins and so would've been better to just carry on the driver and get to experience more of the buggy/quad off-road. Similarly, on a short 3 hour tour, there is no need for a 45 min lunch break - this cut into the trip, which is quite expensive overall. Highly recommended experience but a bit pricey, especially considering the number of stops en route. A great thrill and adventure!
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Very well organised, friendly tour guides. Would highly recommend buying the lunch meal from them. The food was some of the best we’ve had on the island. Would highly recommend and we hope to be back and do the 8 hour trip next time
A truly brilliant day out ,the guides were attentive and top notch ,the buggy we had had a slight brake problem and before the first stop when we had a chance to complain they already had a brand new buggy waiting for us to transfer into ,the journey was great on and off road seeing a real shipwreck and turtles swimming around us in the sea at Lara bay The food at the cafe stop was extra but again lovely and worth every penny don’t be put of getting it by paying upfront, plus one of the staff drove in a private car , door to door to our hotel after our experience was over All in all a highly recommended excursion well worth the reasonable cost ,run by a smashing little well run company ,if you are in pathos and debating whether to do this ,then all I can say is you won’t regret it , 5***** Service and a good fun day out Ps wear old clothes as it gets very dusty
We rented five quad bikes for our family of five adults for a three hour trip to Laura bay. The lady in the office on Coral Bay strip advised the trip that suited our limited ability and assured us we would be looked after and have a great time. We met at the site with the quads the next day and from start to finish it was well organised with safety and welfare for their customers at the forefront. We were asked if we wanted lunch on route, which we did and paid a small extra fee. The tour started with other friends and familys in a mixture of vehicles. We were shown the sites advised on the tour with a little break an an informative chat at each stop. The lunch we were given was lovely, very tasty, great quality and such a large portion. We were very happy with it. The staff were great fun and kept us extremly safe on the main and off roads. We had fun and an adrenaline rush and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of company and tour. We thought it was great value for money and would love to do it again.
