Nos detendremos en el kibutz Yad Mordechai, en la frontera norte con Gaza, y aprenderemos sobre la historia, la geografía y la importancia estratégica de la zona.
Nos detendremos fuera de Moshav Nativ Ha’asara, la comunidad civil más cercana a Gaza y escucharemos sobre el ataque terrorista contra parapentes, que trajo la guerra a este pueblo pacífico.
Visitamos el mirador de Nahal Oz construido en memoria de los 16 observadores de yound asesinados el 7 de octubre y aprendemos sobre las 7 jóvenes secuestradas y lo que les sucedió.
Paramos en las afueras del kibutz Be’eri, una de las comunidades más afectadas durante el ataque mortal de Hamás, con 102 personas asesinadas y 32 secuestradas en Gaza, 10 de ellas todavía allí. Las pérdidas de esta comunidad fueron de las peores ese día. Escucharás varias historias de los horrores que sufrieron las familias. También escuchamos hablar de un héroe que dio su vida para salvar a su comunidad y aprender sobre lo que el futuro le depara a este kibutz. También nos dirigimos al refugio antibombas por la parada de autobús donde Yuval Rafael, el participante de Israel en Eurovisión 2015, fue enterrado bajo cadáveres durante 8 horas.
Refugio de bombas Road 232: Presenten sus respetos en este sitio simbólico, de donde fueron secuestrados varios jóvenes, incluido Hersh Goldberg. Recientemente, la carretera 232 ha sido repavimentada por completo después de devastadores daños causados por cohetes, incendios y RPG. También conocemos la historia de Aner Shapira que da su vida por salvar a otros atrapados en el refugio antibombas.
Entramos al kibutz para almorzar en el comedor comunitario. Visitamos el lugar donde Bipin Joshi, el heroico trabajador nepalés, fue tomado como rehén y sus amigos de Nepal y Tailandia fueron asesinados. Nos enteramos de lo que pasó en el kibutz Alumim ese día.
Shuva Achim Rest Station: un inspirador centro de voluntarios para soldados, establecido por los hermanos Trabelsi. Conoce a soldados en servicio activo y expresa tu apoyo. Una parada profundamente conmovedora en el lugar del Nova Music Festival cerca del kibutz Re’im, donde murieron 364 jóvenes y 43 fueron secuestrados. El sitio ahora sirve como un monumento espontáneo donde amigos y familias han creado recuerdos personales y homenajes a sus seres queridos.
El 'Cementerio de Autos' cerca de Moshav Tkuma: la inquietante colección de 1.560 vehículos quemados y destruidos recuperados de los ataques, ahora sirve como un monumento temporal. Las historias de muchos de los propietarios de los vehículos están disponibles para leer usando códigos QR erigidos cerca. Estos vehículos carbonizados no son solo escombros - llevan las historias y el desamor de las personas que una vez los condujeron.

Conoce la historia de Amer Odeh Abu Sabila, un heroico trabajador de la construcción beduino que rescató a 2 niñas después de que sus padres fueran asesinados. What a wonderful albeit emotional day we had touring the Gaza envelope Simon is sooooo knowledgeable, a truly convivial, relaxed and warm gentleman to boot. At every turn on our many stops he had such fascinating stories that only enhanced our experience. Not to mention he picked us up in a super comfy roomy car and is an excellent driver, and was so lovely, courteous and completely watching for our pace as we made our stops along an emotionally impactful journey through the Gaza envelope many kibbutz and many profound memorials. Simon was a most informative tour guide. He had lots to share regarding the history of the event as well as biblical and modern history of Israel. I would like to highly recommend Simon, the tour operator who guided my family through the Otef Gaza region. We began the day with some understandable apprehension, but Simon immediately set a thoughtful and reassuring tone by starting our visit at Yad Mordechai, where he gave an excellent overview of the area’s history, beginning with the earliest modern Jewish communities. Throughout the day, Simon took us to a number of important sites close to the Gaza border, including a viewpoint over the region, the grounds where a major music event had taken place, several protected structures used by local residents, & neighbourhoods that were significantly affected. We finished our tour at the location of the Sderot police station, an important landmark in recent events. Simon was exceptionally knowledgeable, & he presented everything with clarity, balance, & great sensitivity. Despite the challenging nature of the subject matter, he made the experience meaningful, accessible, & deeply informative. His professionalism, empathy, & understanding of the region were evident throughout the day. Simon is a licensed Israeli tour guide, & based on this experience, I would not hesitate to hire him again to explore other parts of Israel. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
