It was a great experience, Dan was very knowledgeable and had a lot of great information. He also was willing to answer questions! Great time!
The trip itself was pretty nice. The lagoon is a beautiful place and it's always nice to be out there. I was really disappointed with the tour guide. She wasn't loud enough for anybody to hear, she tried to have a sense of humor but no one thought she was funny, and I was able to pick out more wildlife then she pointed out.. she was incredibly soft-spoken and very scatterbrained... she was all over the place in the things she was saying. we didn't see much wildlife but I kind of expected that because it was extremely hot out.. and you can't fault the company for not finding wildlife.. but overall I went on a tour instead of going out with my nephew on my own kayaks because I was hoping the tour guide would keep him entertained better than I could and it failed in that respect..
This is a great kayak tour for everyone. There is plenty of time from when you enter the water to learn how to navigate the kayak if you have never been in one before. I had an 8 year old in the front of the tandem kayak just along for the tour and had no problems maneuvering the kayak by myself. Dan the tour guide was great and answered any and all questions that we had
Lot’s of wildlife, dolphins at play, mosquitoes in the mangroves, easy paddle. Tour guide was not acknowledging any questions and if she did she did, she was short with a response.
It was a fun paddling day. We got to see manatees, pelicans and I had a dolphin swim right under me. Erin and Ethan did a great job.
Cameron was the best tour guide. He has so much knowledge and experience of the area and marine life. We didn’t get to see as much wildlife as we had hoped but it was still a great experience. We would definitely recommend it and hope to get a chance to go again.
You’re guided through mangrove river and tunnels and it is very much a guided tour not a constant tour. There are some moments the tour guide will explain things otherwise you’re pretty much constantly kayaking through and around the area. It’s beautiful and the wildlife and views are abundant. Definitely not a super interactive tour but the whole point is to see the preserve and the wildlife! Sunscreen your legs big time, it gets very sunny and hot.
It’s was a beautiful day, we saw manatees, the wild birds, flying fish, no dolphins but you can control the wild life. Our tour guide was very nice and very helpful. I would 10/10 do it again
The weather was gorgeous and our guide was excellent. The guide had the kayaks and paddle boards down at the water when we arrived and he quickly got us going. He was very careful about safety, making certain we stayed out of the way of other marine craft on the water which was greatly appreciated. He located spoonbills, dolphins, and manatees. I had been doubtful, but was determined to simply enjoy my time on the water when I was pleasantly surprised. Our guide knew his stuff! He knows the habits and nature of the wildlife and was able to locate them and tell us a little about each.
Kayaking through the mongrove trees were cool but our guide was very soft spoken and not personable. We only saw 1 manatee and it was at a distance. When we started to kayak closer, we were told to leave room.
