Elena was my guide today, which made all the difference. I can see how this tour could be easily accomplished by simply buying an audio guide and touring the cistern by yourself; however Elena’s knowledge was so deep and her enthusiasm for the subject so great, that I couldn’t help but enjoy myself. If the other guides are as good as she, then it’s worth purchasing the tour.
Excellent tour! Erica was the best guide, so knowledgeable about the history of Rome, and she made it interesting as well. I could have listened to her all day! You will have earbuds to hear well. The space is not big, but there is so much to see. I can’t imagine not having a guide, you would have no idea what you are looking at. Also get tickets to go down to the front of the Trevi Fountain, and a voucher for gelato at the shop right in front of the fountain. This is my fourth time in Rome, and this tour is one of my favorites we’ve done. Also is not too long and you have to to explore the area on your own. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Erica was extremely knowledgeable and made the museum worth going to. There is no way we would have gotten as much out of it via the audio guide. If you want to visit the museum, book this guided tour.
While I thought there was more to the Trevi Underground, the guide was wonderful. Make sure you know that the Underground portion is about the length of a living room and dining room. However, the guide Naomi was superb.
This tour was the most informative tour i have been on. I didn't realise the hour was up. The tour guide was amazing. I would recommend this tour to everyone who comes to Rome. 10 out of 10
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She explained everything so everyone could understand and grasp the layers of history. I would highly recommend thus tour and she should be applauded for her ethics.
extremely interesting, incredible insight into the water workings, skip the line to get close to the fountain a plus.
The Trevi Fountain Guided tour was perfectly organised and the Guide Erica was great fun. Well done
Such a great experience, history in every step. Erica, our guide, was welcoming and so informative, brought history to life with her knowledge and passion for Rome. Her ability to highlight each era of Rome using the layers of the exposed underground cistern and how each era was built on to improve conditions, detailing the Roman recycling system, the aquaducts that feed the beautiful fountains and their use today. Simply mindblowing. A must do for anyone coming to Rome. Grazie Mille Erica!
Great tour guide! Awesome information and explanation! Fun facts under the ground! Highly recommend with this tour guide!
