This was definitely an experience NOT TO BE MISSED! The views were spectacular, you barely feel the hike because your eyes are so busy taking in all that beauty!!!! Definitely a MUST if you’re in Málaga! Mar, our guide was really fun, she even took pics of us and made the hike very pleasant! 10 out of 10 I highly recommend!
The walk is incredible and you should definitely do it if you're able to. I didn't feel the guided part added much - the village we stopped at was primarily to use the toilet, and the audio devices didn't have the best reception so I missed a lot of what the tour guide was saying during the route. But the caminito del ray itself was a great experience and if the tour allows you to do it (individual tickets had sold out when I was planning my trip), then I still think it's worth it.
can be a bit crowded. But they managed it very well. The tour guide on the actual walk talked too much and it was difficult to understand her. We took our headphones off after 10 minutes.
Well organised. Your guides very friendly, informative and helpful. Ran on schedule and bus was very comfortable.
Incredibly cool experience! Quite demanding hiking so good fitness is preferable. It was a lot of people but well laid out so it was never crowded. Plenty of time to shoot and film the experience.
Gorgeous views and amazing walk but way too many people on one tour. Highly recommend a smaller group with 8-10 max. We had 23! Our guide couldn’t keep control. Radios didn’t work and batteries died on mine. The back and forth to English and French was annoying. I would do a single language only. Excellent area to tour but we would do it alone or with a much for private tour next time
Cesar and Irene were great guides. Very pretty and unusual walk through the canyon! I really enjoyed it!!
A must to see and do I think touring company dont matter too much going with this company was just the basics. The views are beyond amazing and so happy to go and not too hard of a walk
Scenic beautiful, to cope with for all who can walk about 3 hours without major breaks. There is a lot going on and you are partly "driven" through the gorge. But definitely worth seeing!
Love Viator…this was a first for us NOT receiving that which we were expecting. The long and short of this experience…would have been 5 stars and high recommend if based on the location and hike alone, with a few caveats: the tour was supposed to be 7 hours (super long in and of itself), but it was actually 8 hours, which on a limited holiday is asking a lot. The itinerary changed right out of the gate and they eliminated the hour tour of Ardales (or it would have been 9 hours). There were numerous bathroom and catch your breath stops (got to almost be a joke for us). Our general finding was this tour could have been trimmed down to 3.5-4 hrs, yielding back half a day to the participants. This would account for a reasonable amount of time on the trail itself. There were inexplicable extra stops to drop off some passengers at stops and hotels (added an extra half hour at least), there were moments of utter confusion and disorganization that I have seldom seen I. A tour company…often making decisions on the fly…like who goes with which group leader and which leader took which group. Another big disappointment was that the English group is mixed with the Spanish and French…so, each ear piece and bus dialogue is spued out 3 times for non-stop chatter and constant chirping in multiple languages. The tour improved dramatically and became far more pleasant and peaceful once removing the earbud from the perpetual Chatty Cathy experience. The pros…the scenery and landscape is breathtaking. The level of difficulty for the hike is LOW…you can and should do it…just get an individual ticket and lead yourself!!!! The hike with the tour is painfully slow and the guide is like a given or on a bus, practically shuffling along, keeping everyone behind her like small school children that just want to get on with it. Overall, happy to have done it, just hate the wasted extra half day for the experience. I guess I have a few good laughs and stories to tell from it (but, at the expense of the experience). On to the next!!!
