Fantastic way to see the city and surrounding area. We did the 3 hour Bath City & Countryside Tour with Darroch which I was hesitant to do because I really wanted to focus on the history of Bath. This tour was perfect. Darroch’s knowledge of history from Celts to the Victorian age made the tour come alive. Plus his knowledge of local flora and fauna - from local falcons to wild garlic added another aspect to seeing the natural beauty around Bath. Highly recommend
Wayne was a great guide, very knowledgeable on the area and its history and a really nice guy. Bikes were good quality and easy to manage. We did the Bath countryside and city tour which took us down the lovely canal tow paths, through the mile long tunnel and back into the city to round off - a good blend for a great morning out.
A great bike ride which included lots of towpaths and countryside as well as the city centre. Wayne was very knowledgeable about the local area and an excellent guide. Great fun - would definitely recommend as a must do activity on a trip to Bath.
Absolutely brilliant experience. Chris was very knowledgeable and really engaging. The bikes were well prepared and set up for us. Lovely route, and beautiful views and the tunnel is a must do. It rained (a lot) but that didn’t detract form the day at all. Great way to see bits of Bath that you wouldn’t do on foot so we would definitely recommend booking this.
Wayne was such a knowledgeable guide. Attentive and lots of laughs. Gave us insight into things we would have never known about.
Excellent tours of Bath and surrounding countryside. We chose the 3.5 hours tour along the picturesque canal route. My novice wife felt safe and managed the tour with ease. Well informed and qualified guide. Excellent bikes and equipment. A wonderful way to explore Bath and surrounding areas.
Fabulous tour of bath and surrounding area. Views are fab and the route perfect. Excellent guide, patient and knowledgeable.
We took a 3.5 hour bike trip along the river and into town. I had been unsure if I’d be fit enough to do it but I needn’t have worried, it’s completely doable with lots of stops for sights and stories. I’m 55 not particularly fit. There are a couple of very short inclines but they are made better with the great bikes and loads of gears. You could easily get off and walk these if it felt too much as the steep bits were roughly twice for 5 minutes. We had a toilet stop half way. The countryside and canal was beautiful. I’m so glad we went for the longer tour, it was perfect. Wayne was great, really easygoing company, informed and friendly. He really brought Bath, the surroundings and its history alive. I can’t recommend it enough.
One of the best city (and surrounding countryside) tours we've ever done. Our guide Chris was really good fun, knowledgeable, patient ... and knew everyone along the canal. The bikes are top-notch Marins and a lot lighter than they look. You'll learn loads about Bath's industrial heritage and see some stunning landscapes. A bit of climbing but most of the course is next to the canal, so nice and flat. Whether you've not ridden a bike since you were a kid, or are a mad-keen cyclist, you'll get a lot out of this tour. Cheers!
The views were amazing we got to experience. Darroch was very patient to put up with six menopausel women,!!! highly reccomend it.
