Fantastic tour with a super chill and knowledgeable guide Adriana! A gorgeous ride that takes you out of the city into the beautiful countryside where you can get up close to the aqueducts. Definitely take the mountain bikes if you have a choice since you’ll be riding on the sanpietrini and Appian Way cobbles! If it has been raining, expect some mud but a fun ride. Would absolutely recommend!

We had a wonderful day with Adriana & lucky for us it was just the three of us. Adriana and her wealth of knowledge ensured we gained a lot of information on the history of the Appian Way & Aqua Ducts. We had time for stops & photo opportunities. There are so many e-bike tours to choose from. This one seemed to cover many of the sites that I wanted to see. Adriana was our fabulous and knowledgeable bike tour guide. Note that these are electric assist bicycles, so you do need to pedal to engage the electric. You can bring a refillable water bottle as there are plenty of fountains along the Appian Way route where you can get water. We took breaks which we needed as it was very hot, and were at each site just long enough to get a few pictures, which was sufficient for us. An avid bicyclist would not have any problems riding, but I don’t ride bicycles often and there were times where I really had to put in a lot of effort. It probably would’ve been easier for me if it wasn’t during the European heat wave! Also note that for the 1st mile or so you will be sharing the road with cars. We would highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was Daniela and she was fantastic! She was very informative and loved that my girls asked questions. The tour was a pleasant escape from the hot city through the beautiful Appia Antica and the aqueducts. We stopped to learn more about the ancient Romans and took wonderful photos. I highly recommend taking the e-bike tour and getting out of the city and appreciating the countryside just outside the city walls.

My wife and I did the Appian Way and Aqueducts tour on May 20, 2025. Our guide Adriana was amazing. Adriana had so much knowledge of the area and the historical significance of everything we saw and visited. More than that, Adriana was so personable with a great sense of humor. We felt like we were on a tour with a close friend rather than just a guide. She made the tour a very personal experience for us. This was truly one of the highlights of our holiday in Italy. Myself and my mother were taken on a tour with Fillipo on their Appian Way and Aqueducts route. We had such a good time. Fillipo was so knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, and take photos, and he wanted us to enjoy ourselves. We loved the coffee stop in the middle, and taking in all the history of the route. Thanks Fillipo, you were great.

One of the best experiences Rome has to offer. Daniela was amazing. Great for our 13 year old son. Informative and fun and will not be forgotten. Do yourself a favour and donate Appian way with Daniela!
